It’s very common, what makes this strain “dangerous” is it is unfamiliar but it still is just affecting those elderly or sickly immune systems and the very young and it happened to hit a poor dirty region of China with poor diet and hygiene

Something else. You know the air quality in China’s big cities is very poor and thus puts more people’s respiratory systems under stress. No doubt smokers are more at risk as well, and smoking is probably far more prevalent in China than in the US and more prevalent among those not able to fight this thing off.
