Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

It cracks me up that the libs here have tons of snarky comments and posts about Trump everyday but disappear on most threads when it comes to Dems especially on debate nights. It might as well be tumbleweeds then. Guess they don’t want to go “on record” about the candidates just in case lol
I didn't watch any of the debate. It seems as if lots of you guys did.
I did watch the repub. debates in 2016. As they say........comedy gold.

Maybe I missed something, but why is Trump getting criticised over the coronavirius? Seems like the CDC is on top of it, but I might have missed something.
Also, I'm not a fan of Trump at all, but I don't have a problem with him speaking about it tonight. He should, I mean he is the President after all.
There are plenty of things to critique Trump over, but this doesn't seem like one of them.
Do me a favor. Try to find one thing that he has done , or one statement that he has made in the last 3-1/2 years, that someone on here or in the news media hasn't criticized.

He shouldn't have run such a sh!tty campaign based entirely on divisiveness and attacking truth, the media, and everyone who stood in his way.

President’s budget would hinder US public health progress: Huge cuts proposed

Trump released his fiscal year 2020 federal budget proposal in March, recommending huge cuts across the federal government, including a 12 percent cut to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and a 10 percent cut for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

At CDC, a reduction of that magnitude equates to a $750 million spending cut over fiscal year 2019. APHA member John Auerbach, MBA, president and CEO of Trust for America’s Health, said the proposed CDC cuts not only threaten federal public health capacity, they would have a “devastating” impact on state and local public health departments, which depend heavily on CDC dollars flowing down to the community level.

To be fair, he has done more than enough to be criticized for. It might be easier and faster to list the few things he has done right.

Trump Has Already Hamstrung The U.S.’s Coronavirus Response

Trump administration has already hamstrung it’s ability to address this emergency. As Foreign Policy’s Laurie Garrett wrote last month, the administration has “intentionally rendered itself incapable” of dealing with a problem of this scale. It wiped out its “entire pandemic response chain of command, including the White House management infrastructure,” Garrett wrote, and shut down the National Security Council’s global health security team, as well as its counterpart in the Department of Homeland Security. In addition to proposing funding cuts for national and global health programs, the administration has also kneecapped its public health teams by declining to replace officials who have left.
