Man some of yall think the much better team should just never come back. We must have been trash to be up 17 on a top 15 team. They were supposed to just roll over.

Let's be real, we were pretty lucky to be up that much. They were 2 of 13 from 3s at one point...that is variance. Eventually those things tend to even out.

We lost by 5 to #14 on the road. Lol

I somewhat agree but when Auburn turned up the pressure and physicality, we choked. The refs have shown that they will allow certain programs to mug the other team and there were multiple bad no-calls.

But....if we play smart and handle pressure better we win. We went into a shell, curled up and allowed ourselves to be Bullied. Bowden, Vescovi and Gaines were the only ones who had the will to fight. Pons, Fulk and JJJ gave us nothing for the last 12 or so minutes on offense.

I like most on here was mad at the sloppiness that lead to the Vols giving up the lead. The difficulties this season haven't come as a surprise to me. We lost a lot of talent and experience to the league last year. Replacing those guys was going to be really difficult. That being said, I thought the team would have improved game by game through the course of the season. The failure to secure the ball should not have happened this late in the season. What we saw during UA's run in the 2nd half, happens in October and November , but not in late February. The team should be showing more improvement than what we're seeing. Just my thoughts.

Were you a bull rider in a former life :):)
Close...flooring installer for 26 years, and I have genetic predisposition to extreme joint and disc degenerative disease..so my profession greatly compounded a condition I was already going to have regardless. My doctors told me in my late twenties that I already had degeneration comparable to an 80 year old with extreme arthritis. That was 24 years ago.

They also told me that I am blessed with an unusually high pain tolerance, so that helps. I can take it most of time.

Mats sense oh humor felt a little forced to me but overall his character was fine. The pace he finished the last few books was perfect.

Sandersons's Stormlight Archive is amazing so far. It's making a run at being my favorite series if it continues like the first few books. I really like his other stuff too.
Kaladin Stormblessed for the win!

Both my kids go to Auburn and they were at the game... both are huge UT fans in every sport except of course, when they play AU...
My son said it was obvious AU was getting away with rough no-call fouls the second half once they started making the comeback (said Fulky was getting mauled off-ball)... The student section was talking about it... of course they were okay with it because it was their team, but it was so obvious, it was being discussed.
They couldn't believe we kept going so cold shooting in the second half and were waiting for us to go on a run, but it never happened. Pons and Vescovi were getting mad respect, and guys were wondering out loud why Pons wasn't driving to the hoop every possession and drawing fouls with his leaping ability... they were glad he wasn't... At the end of the day the students couldn't believe we basically imploded and let them come back... just wanted to share from an opposing fan perspective...

Barnes put this on himself, If last year or the year before didnt end the way it did I think fans would be more patient. If Barnes hadn't pulled his stunt this off season then fans would be more patient. With the raise Barnes got expectations are going to be high. This isn't year 1 and we aren't in Kansas anymore.
EVERYONE acknowledged that this was going to be a down year...cuz they happen. Now that we’re living it, a bunch of goofies are acting like a program that’s never made a Final Four has been deprived of some birthright by the coach who’s lifted us from the absolute dregs to where we can be disappointed to give up a 17 point lead to a ranked team on the road. 🤦‍♂️ Not entering the salary argument roundabout...just glad that rich boosters were willing to dish out the money to keep him because if they hadn’t the heat would be on Fulmer for not paying up.

What finish last year would give Tennessee fans more patience this year? Just out of curiosity.

I think of fans just objectively look at the roster they would have more patience. Judge this season based on what we have, where we started it and how we end it.
Actually making the FF4 run he should've

Was discussed on the readio here the other day and Ill post this question....if you had the ability to pick one player from last years team to play this year, who would it be?? Most were picking Grant / Bone.

I’ll take Schofield. I think what we don’t have this year the “alpha” player that when things start to go bad, he would step up. When we needed someone to take the ball and score down the strectch (Gonzaga) he would do it. Curious to others thoughts....

I’m going with Bone just because we are lacking at PG position. I like Vescovis vision but he’s just not a true PG yet. Think we saw today that we are a different team when Vescovi was in the game. IMO Bone is hands down a better PG than Vescovi
