Since we're in the off season off topic mode, I just got tickets to see Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds at the Grand Ole Opry in October. One of my favorites.
My one bucket list band touring this year is Rage. Unfortunately missed that they added dates recently and Raleigh already sold out. That is their only SE venue so far, but they do have June wide open. Hoping they add more stops. Run The Jewels are opening for them...whewww.

I'm a Rendevouz guy. I know, they're different than classic, but that's why I love them. But in the end, Memphis is to BBQ what New Orleans is to seafood. Just go into a place where you see some cars parked outside, not a chain of course, it's going to be great.
Can’t beat the ‘Vouz for atmosphere. It’s got it, hands down. They definitely are different ribs though... cooked over hot coals.

Side note - last time I was at Rendevouz I was sitting in the back. Table next to me had Ricky Fowler and his smokin hot girlfriend among others. He must have been in town for the St Jude.

I ate at a Mexican place one time in downtown San Antonio that had Mike Huckabee a couple of tables over and when we were getting up to leave Bill Clinton walked by heading to a private room.

Cigar anyone?

Agree on atmosphere. Just difficult to promote it as “Memphis BBQ.” It’s cooked at a higher temperature, 325 I think? Cooked over coals, and it’s basted with a vinegar mop. They finish with the dry rub, and serve it that way, but that’s about as Memphis as it gets. JMO.

I think we all know people that became addicted that did not think they would and didn't want to be. But the problem has come with people thinking they need to decide what is best for someone else. As McGill said an addict will find a way... even if it is making something in the kitchen. Now doctors can't even decide what is best for their patients. A friend's husband was sent home 3 days after having both kidneys taken out with instructions to take Tylenol every 4 hours.
I think there is a huuuuge misconception that addicts have no choice...and that is absolutely ridiculous. I wish a huge law firm would file a class action against the government and the idiots in the medical profession. Putting someone with chronic pain in the position of wanting to kill themselves just to end the suffering is pure evil. I know of four people in Bell and Harlan county alone that were stonewalled for various reasons and did just that.

I will never understand the holier than thou idiots (not necessarily religious folks), or the folks looking for a scapegoat because a family member killed themselves accidentally while doing something stupid (I almost did that myself a couple of times) that take it out on suffering people who's only chance at having any semblance of quality of life comes from taking pain medication.

We are supposedly endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness...how is taking those things away from hurting people even constitutional?

It helps with pain, trust me. Maybe not the kind you have but back pain fo sho. 10 minutes on the inversion table and one ripper and daddy is golden.
It's crazy how varied experiences can be. I always found the devil's grass to enhance all sensory experiences, including pain. If I had even a small tooth ache, I would never touch even one half a marijuana.

But when I threw out my back (happened about every 6 months for years) and was bedridden for days, I could take 1 cup of kratom tea from the local kava bar and be great for 24 hours, allowing me to do PT stretches and alleviate the issue altogether in a day or two. Without it, I couldn't stretch out my back at all due to the pain. I would be a cripple for nearly a week.

I have used it for the last two years. It works great for chronic moderate+ everyday pain, but doesn't help much on the really bad days...can't wait for the idiots in government to schedule it too....God forbid anybody be able to take anything that even helps a little...I am expecting that to happen at any point now..the idiot scapegoaters are already trying to demonize it.
