Central BBQ or Commissary for ribs. BBQ Shop is good, too.

Rendezvous is overrated. Experience is fine. Food is alright. Waiting for a table is not worth it. Tourist trap.
Yeah just looking for more names. I didn’t love commissary the few times I’ve been there. Not into rendezvous at all.

Go to a butcher, get a 10-12 lb butcher cut. Trim the bigger hunks of fat off but leave some, that's kind of a learn as you go thing. Give it a nice rub 12-24 hours before the cook, I use olive oil and my spices, give it a good coat. Set your smoker to about 220-225 degrees. I use hickory but a lot of Texans use Mesquite. I have a green egg so I throw in the chips, put in the inverter plate and put the brisket on the grill fat side down. Cook about an hour a pound, you can also go by internal temperature but I like to keep that lid closed through the entire cook. Some do the crutch but I don't see any benefit in that. When you pull it, wrap in foil with a cup of broth and let it sit in a cooler for about 30-45 minutes. Cut against the grain.

All good tips. Basically how I do mine on my Kamado, except I use butcher paper once I’ve hit the stall. That’s the only time I open the top and I usually wrap it quick and get it back on. The rest in the cooler is crucial though and where most people mess up their brisket because they either don’t do it or don’t do it long enough. I’ve let mine sit in the cooler for almost 2 hours before and was still piping hot when I took it out to cut.

Honestly with how the playoffs get "locked up" I'm torn on the extra game...I don't know what value it really adds as we'll still see teams resting starters in the last week or two of the season.

I do like reducing the preseason to 3 games instead of 4.

I would have went with 3 preseason games (regular seasons stays the same) add a week for an additional playoff round with 2-4 more teams getting in, but reseed based on overall conference standings and remove divisions completely.

Not arguing one way or the other against an extra regular season game, but it adds value simply by having an extra game in the season ticket package and by advertising for another week. The preseason games aren’t all broadcast on national channels and don’t get the viewership.

Yeah, I don't want to be taken as saying anything about people in that situation, I can't even relate.

Not sure why it produces so many different results. For me, I feel nothing from any of them, except pain relief. And every couple of months, I'll have an entire week with no major pain, otc work and I don't even take the prescription meds.
There's no cravings or changes in mood when I don't take them. I don't want people that are different than me to suffer but there seems to be a complete lack of that feeling being reciprocated.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of "I had a cousin who got addicted, so IDC about everyone it helps".

Definitely not taken that way and it sucks that addiction has caused people in need not to get meds or jump through hoops.

Our society just has a tendency to blame the symptom rather than the root of the problem. Addiction is mostly psychological even in drugs with physical dependency.

If you don't have that psychological craving then chances are good that you either won't have physical withdrawals or they will be minor and something easily overcome.

I'll take that as a compliment. I have not always chosen to put the most wholesome things in front of my eyes. I made a decision to choose things that better align with how I would like to live my life. That doesn't mean that I watch nothing but Sesame Street, but if I am going to watch something that contains sexual content or inferences, then I am very particular about that. I try not to make judgment on what anyone else chooses to watch as each person makes their own choices. I am also not out advocating banning shows I don't agree with. I do feel that parents do not do a good enough job of vetting the shows that their children watch. Young impressionable brains do not need to be exposed to content that glorifies unwholesome behavior in my opinion. When they grow up and become adults they can make those choices if they decided to. Sorry. As a parent, I am very passionate and particular about this subject.

Since we're in the off season off topic mode, I just got tickets to see Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds at the Grand Ole Opry in October. One of my favorites.

Nice. I am planning a drive up to Savannah in April to see Shinedown's extended set tour.... surprised they aren't doing a show in JAX.
