For me it's Bostons self titled debut and it ain't even close ! Every single track on the album is fantastic and are classics. Their musical genius combined with the flawless production on this one make it one of the greatest albums ever recorded and set it apart from all other debuts for me. An absolute classic that will forever stand the test of time.

Honorable mentions go to

The Cars - self titled
Van Halen - self titled
Pearl Jam - Ten
Candlebox - self titled
Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced

Good thread idea. Not saying it's the best, but the first one that comes to mind is Wyclef Jean. Take out all the skits and it's an amazing mix of hip-hop, folk, and island music. Beegees, Willie Nelson, Aaron Neville, Celia Cruz, etc. all on one album and it works.

GnR Appetite for Destruction.

Had several friends in high school with tickets to see Motley Crue (i think). The next school day after the concert all anyone who went talked about was the opening act. Guns n Roses became the it band seemingly overnight.

So many great song that still sound good 30+ years later.

I think you mean Ten, unless I have missed some music history.

I agree with Boston. My second choice would be Bad Company 1974 which included:

Can’t Get Enough
Rock Steady
Ready for Love
Bad Company
Movin On

All heavy in classic rock radio rotation
To this day.
