I don’t think Manfred will be able to keep his job. The MLBPA will not forget how he’s handled this mess when discussions about the CBA really get started.

I just dislike college basketball in general. This group, besides Vescovi, plays about the worst type of basketball possible.

Lamonte taking the next step and having a career year was our only hope.

I can f with the NIT in a rebuild year. At least we aren’t Fake School U in Chapel Hill.

Now MLBPA is saying Manfred is lying about how they wouldn’t cooperate with potential player punishment and that MLB said from the onset of the investigations they wouldn’t suspend players to begin with before the findings.

This is unbelievable

The simplest explanation is that MLB knows or at least suspects that there’s widespread cheating (probably of various kinds) across the sport and the last thing they want to do is start any kind of real investigation when god knows what they’ll find. So the strategy was to go out and fire a couple of executives and yadda yadda yadda let’s all move on. Problem is that in the modern media environment it would take a David Stern-level bullshltter to successfully pull off the yadda yadda part, and Manfred’s nowhere near up to it.

Yep - I’ve said this before, but if the Astros were doing it, and teams knew the Astros were doing it and getting away with it, there’s a 100% chance similar strategies were used all over the league.

But my opinion is baseball should investigate the entire league if it came down to it. Show some muscle.

So I know a couple of you cats were interested in the fantasy baseball dynasty league but seemed to be out when I said it was Roto. I think we’re going to change to a points league. $25 buy in. Fangraphs Ottoneu scoring.
