Watching both men's and women's UT Bball this weekend... Anyone want to start a go-fund-me to get a Jr High coach to come in for both for a weekend clinic to teach passing/turnover drills and free throw shooting? We fix those two issues and we'd be rolling with both teams... pathetic.

For real! I turned it over to the women’s game for about 30 seconds. Saw one of our girls try to make a pass and not even sure how she thought it was going to get to one of our players. Turn the channel. Turned it back to check the score, and watched us try to make another pass towards the end of the third-quarter, when we might have cut it to one or tied it, and we telegraph the pass so bad that anyone could see it coming from a mile away. Honestly, I’m not sure how we have 17 wins. Every time I turn it over to watch them for a minute, I have to turn the channel, because they look atrocious. I think they ended up shooting six for 16 from FT line. That is beyond atrocious!

In basketball I give one year for culture change. By year 2 you should be able to gage the trajectory.

I agree. Basketball can be fixed a lot faster than football. Rosters can be flipped, systems installed, toughness instilled. I look at two things, fundamentals and recruiting. Not sure about the recruiting end but the fundamentals are lacking. We'll see if they improve by year two.

Exactly what I look for is well. That’s why I became such a big fan of Rick Barnes so fast on the fundamental side. I worried about Recruiting at first, but I quickly changed my thoughts there when he took these lightly recruited dudes and turned them into 5*s

I would be greatly disturbed if I came home to that. For one, my wife doesn't drink beer. And secondly, my girls are a little old for that behavior.
