I don't buy the "drain the swamp" rhetoric but he is clearing many long-timers out of cushy and influential government positions they've had for decades. Probably losing some good people along the way but his re-election threatens many entrenched interests that have been sucking at the teet for a long time.

The system always fights back.

She doesn't even have to be cordial. Gingrich had a next level smirk. Constantly mouthing things during the speech and then tearing it up on camera is just beneath her. She's in the big chair up front, not at a desk in the back next to Talib and Omar.

It blows my mind when people react to Trump with exactly the reaction Trump is looking for.

Yep. If you make it to that chair you should have enough game to get your message across while not looking like a spoiled 3 year old.

Uh...hey Democrats...I've been around a while. I've seen LG go apoplectic with rage at other speeches and troll this board...HARD!
If I was y'all, his reply to this SOTU would make me very concerned about the 2020 election.

I am kind of lost right now and it could be because I have been out of the loop for a bit and haven't followed stuff closely here lately. What exactly were all of Trumps lies? Please comment on the following fields:

1. The state of the economy
2. The state of women in the economy
3. The state of African Americans in the economy
4. Current job prosperity
5. How our economy is perceived by other nations
6. Trade
7. Military: This includes the comments on spending as well as our military presence in the Middle East
8. Health Care
9. Current Democratic Policies/Proposals such as health care, sanctuary cities/states, etc.

I am an independent voter with open ears.

I agree the way both parties act is pathetic.

Trump's speech last night was nothing more than a campaign speech just like Obama's was in 2012 but the Dems acted much worse as a group (and of course Nancy) than the Rs and their leadership did in 2012.

Many of the Dems have never achieved adulthood. It has been obvious for some time. Last night was worse than usual.

I keep seeing the uproar here about farm subsidies. Just a quick reminder that it’s been going on for decades throughout both democrat and republican presidencies.

So let’s just let the farmers crash, after all our society as a whole could stand to lose a few pounds due to any food shortages, although those hardest hit will be the large population clustered urban areas. Who needs manufacturing jobs when food product plants cut back due to no farm production. Oh, and we’ll take out our transportation system at the same time because there’s no products to transport. But don’t stop there...add in less money for discretionary consumer spending, but wait, would that hit the housing market and associated trade jobs? Ah screw it, let’s just go ahead and crash our economy because we’re upset at subsidized farming and want to totally eliminate it.

For those to dense to comprehend that I’m somewhat poking here. I do understand how subsidized farming actually works and why there are issues with it.
