2020 SOTU Speech Thread

no, they're not

My posts from that time are readily available using the vn search. Anyone who was on here during that time should be able to tell you where I stood (on fiscal policy that would be to the right of you)
LOL. Sure.

BOOTY EDGE EDGE still your guy?

Almond milk( whatever that is ) , they want the cow farts outlawed .

Can't be cow farts if we kill all the cows.

I'm just starting the SOTU. Trump hasn't said anything wrong, but his accent and speaking pattern is the most annoying thing I think I have ever listened to. He tries to portray gravitas and importance, and comes off as cheap and forced. He just doesn't have the speaking gift. even when he isn't saying anything I disagree with. Flame away.

No one seems to care because politics is about beating the other team right now. Sucks. I didn't believe Kasich was fiscally conservative as governor. Rand talks a good game but simply cannot seem to connect with voters.
Kaisch was fiscally conservative as governor. He slashed that state's pension funding, which in turn saved their budget.

Would he ever be in the position to do likewise on the very slim chance he could ever be elected President? Highly doubtful. But he would have a better chance than Amash, no matter how much PJ likes his conservatism.

You can't do anything but screech unless you can get elected. And right there, is the problem.

I seem to recall he increased other areas of spending, though. I very well could be wrong...I'm only going off my memory (which is fading fast as I age).

Wouldn't the smaller farms simply convert to niche markets like organic milk, cheese, etc?

That is a possibility but most couldn't survive even doing that.

New Zealand ended subsidies and price supports 15-20 years ago and it worked out in the end. They lost something like 60-75% of their farmers but prices stabilized, they imported a majority of their food beforehand so it wasn't the huge shock it would be here.

If you guys think sacred cows are tasty, you should try some dry aged Manatee chops. Folks around these parts revere the sea cow.
That's no way to talk about your wife!

No one says they feel left behind. That's a left wing talking point created in their alternate reality.
Charles Payne just pointed out that it’s cookie cutter opposition language that you hear in every SOTU response.

If he was gay, you would have a different viewpoint.
