All time offense

He had as many TDs as Josh Briscoe and Zach Rogers. He was good for his era but nowhere close to WRs we had from 80s-now. Also all American was based on media word of mouth because games weren’t all on tv. He had big catches in two games and everyone talked about them
I haven't seen him mentioned so I'll add my two cents in on wide receivers; I grew up listening to Tennessee football before the games were saturated on TV, and when they were on I would watch. Larry Seivers was a clutch receiver, but another one that hasn't been mentioned is Richmond Flowers. If the ball was anywhere around him he caught it. Yeah, I know. I'm old.

Agree to disagree. Based on era to era, he was as good or better than anyone UT has ever had. Yes, fewer TDs, but again, not as many chances to catch them, especially in the “red zone”

QB Dobbs
RB Stephens
TE Stocker
WR Price
FL Pickens
SL Jennings
LT Teague
RG Smith
C Clifton
RG Coleman
RT James
AP Patterson
Is this some type of parody list or something? You can’t be serious about at least half of the guys on this list.

Shawn Bryson was probably the best FB at UT. Actually he was a superb TB that could block exceptionally well, so they put him in at FB!

One of the most overrated WRs ever. The old timers talk about that he was Clutch. And he was. But talent and stats wise. Not even top 15
BS, if you're talking about Seivers. Stats are meaningless without detail. His hands are the best ever for UT WR. Overrated would be Peerless Price and Marcus Nash

Great player at Tennessee, just not one of the very best running backs to play here. Webb, Lewis, Stephens, Cobb, Henry.....as great a player as he was, just hard to put him ahead of those guys imho.
He played WR more than TB. He played WR for the entirety of this freshman season. Moved to TB before the Alabama game his sophomore season and stayed there until his senior season. Played WR for most of his senior season. Was recruited as WR. Drafted as WR. Played in the postseason allstar games as WR. I've seen your take on this before. Think you're mistaken

Ridiculous. I watched Seivers. He literally made three awesome catches against Clemson and one good one against Vanderbilt. He was the only real target on a team that was decent but not great. No way he was better than probably 75% of the WRs we have had since the mid 80s. Price, Nash, etc dominated actual top ten teams with elite NFL players not the likes of Kansas and a mediocre Clemson team

Dobbs isn't a top 5 QB. Maybe not even top 10
You’re wrong on a lot of these. Dobbs is easily top 5-6 based on stats alone.

Top 4
Manning, Clausen, Bray, Dobbs,

Then the rest of top 10-15 in no order
Ainge, Shuler, Holloway, Robinson, Martin, Kelly, Francis, Scott, Warren, Streater

Top 3 is fairly easy: Manning, Clauson, Shuler.

Bray could have been if he wasn't so unfocused. Dobbs might be because of his legs.
If Bray had come back for his Senior year he would’ve broke UT and SEC alltime TD passes record with 90+ and would’ve had a shot at the alltime yardage record

Bray was a great QB

Stats are meaningless without detail. With all due respect to Dobbs, he wasn't in Robinson's league. Not even close. Try again

I'd put Robinson over Shuler or Clausen, but your list is fair
I like Robinson too but you have to consider all of the following:

Stats
Talent and ability
Big wins against great teams
Big plays
Overall record

And Clausen was better in at least three of those categories and probably as good or better in the 4th. Robinson had much more physical raw talent for sure

Stats would be my last criterion because of the different eras. I loved Clausen too because of his play in big games. I still wouldn't put Dobbs in the top 10.
