God with all this pressure HB is going to cave and transfer out of here by sophomore year. Let the kid take his time and develop before we start comparing him to Peyton

Florida doesn't have a street next to their stadium named after Rex Grossman, and he accomplished everything that Peyton did and would have smashed every single one of Peyton's records had he come back. Grossman isn't some random analogy. Grossman lost one of the most important games for UF in the last 30 years to us. Much like Peyton did. He's an exact replica but played in different colors. Heck, AL has NC championship winning QBs transferring, but we are stuck on Peyton being some sort of god. What happens in the NFL doesn't count on the Hill. Even if it did, Peyton had things named after him before he made any of those accomplishments.

You said “no one honored tee and they name roads after Peyton”. I said they named a road for Tee too and you responded with Rex Grossman again. Lol

Manning wasn’t average as his Heisman runner up, several national awards, UT, SEC and national records, SEC title, several huge wins including dominating UGa and Bama and playing in 97 bowl alliance NC game ANd was the #1 draft pick. And elected to CFB all time team and hall of fame. And that’s not even talking about being one of the greatest NFL QB of all time
you simply don’t have a legit argument based on facts to call Manning average. None

Rex Grossman has a sorry parallel for anyone we put forward. Do you not get that? He didn't do anything at UF but win a SEC Championship. UF had players after Grossman that make this stupid (Leak, Tebow) So does Alabama, so does Auburn. Are you understanding. I could give two whatever in the bucket on what Peyton did in the NFL. He didn't do anything major at Tennessee. There is not one poster on this board that can differentiate Peyton from Grossman

So you are saying that Peyton was average and Chris Leak was great? Can you explain why even non UT fans, media, coaches, other players etc recognized him as elite and awarded him so much for his college play? Guess they were wrong too huh?

I think Grossman and Leak are very average. You're not understanding. Grossman accomplished as much as Manning and Leak accomplished more. They don't have streets named after them in Gainesville (to my knowledge). You will go further in life if you can separate emotion

You think a lot of people are average. So who was the best QB in college in 1997 in your glorious opinion? And why would Peyton win every award and finish 2nd in the Heisman AND be inducted in the CF Hall of fame if he was average?

What's your point? Peyton was an average SEC QB at Tennessee. As I said many threads ago, there are people like you who are very emotional over Peyton. Not sure why. Kind of the millennial generation I guess. Peyton is a VFL. He had some good wins and some embarrassing losses at Tennessee. He has the same track record of Rex Grossman. You have not been able to dispute this.
