i know right? Only this board would have a "vol" fan who would come on and say one of the greatest QBs in college football AND NFL history, and by far the greatest UT QB is "average"This poll really helps me understand Volnation. Now anytime I see a post that seems hopelessly unreasonable I’m just going to pretend it was one of the 25 crazies that voted for Bailey in this poll.
weird how he was voted to College FB all time team, all-SEC all time team, and inducted in CF hall of fame....no one is lashing out, everyone is laughing at you for your horrendous and illogical takeThe issue. He was not one of the greatest NCAA QBs. You can lash out and be vitriolic, but Rex Grossman, Rex Grossman, Rex Grossman. Do you understand?

What did he accomplish? We now have some posters saying he played in a Natty. What else did he do?

I haven't even gotten to the NFL yet. Your argument is some weak azz BS, just give it up.
- .866 winning % as a starter at UT.
- "Manning rewrote the Tennessee record book during his four years as a Vol. He holds the record for passing yards with 11,201 yards and passing touchdowns with 89. When he completed his UT career, Manning held the SEC records for completions and passing yards." ~Knox News
- 147.1 passer rating as a Vol.
I'm not throwing shade at Rex Grossman. He was a good college QB. He only fell short of Manning's college passing yardage by about 2,000 yds. Not too shabby.
One SEC championship victory. That's it. Getting to the NFL is the problem. Peyton had a road named after him in 1998. Why? Which of our rivals have have player-named roads? Which of our rivals have this for a player that didn't win a Natty or even play in one? Is there a Bo Jackson Blvd?? (I have no clue. There may be). Is there a Mark Ingram Drive? Is there a Danny Wuerffel Drive?
At the same time, we have done little to nothing to honor Tee or Peerless or pick anyone off of the 98 squad you may hold in regard.
Florida doesn't have a street next to their stadium named after Rex Grossman, and he accomplished everything that Peyton did and would have smashed every single one of Peyton's records had he come back. Grossman isn't some random analogy. Grossman lost one of the most important games for UF in the last 30 years to us. Much like Peyton did. He's an exact replica but played in different colors. Heck, AL has NC championship winning QBs transferring, but we are stuck on Peyton being some sort of god. What happens in the NFL doesn't count on the Hill. Even if it did, Peyton had things named after him before he made any of those accomplishments.
Dude, you should go to the Auburn, Florida, and Bama boards and champion streets be named for those players. You're not gonna get much traction here. One SEC championship victory. That's it.
