My old flight surgeon had huge fingers and wore his gigantic super bowl size ring. I always hated that man, and joked with him to take that damn thing off before he got close to my ass with it on.
My last full physical the doctor examined my prostate. He said, "it's perfectly normal for a heterosexual to be aroused by this proceedure."I had a classmate with inch long nails. I felt so bad for whoever was going to get a prostate exam from her
The doctor that did my last one died a couple of years ago, and I have 2 interesting prostate exam stories involving him. The time before last, I went into the office on Halloween, to get something done, plus a prostate exam. The girls behind the desk were dressed for Halloween. I was sitting in the office and I saw him walk by in the back going into an exam room, wearing a complete yellow Big Bird outfit with feet.My last full physical the doctor examined my prostate. He said, "it's perfectly normal for a heterosexual to be aroused by this proceedure."
I protested, "I'm not aroused at all!"
Dr reassures me with, " I know, I was talking to myself."
So sorry Marcus. It's just me and my wife left, and she just lost her dad on New Year's Day. Hang in there. So after losing my brother dad and pappaw back to back...my mom had to go in for surgery to get a pacemaker last week. Doctor punctured her lung with a needle apparently and 48 hours later her lung collapsed at home...911 back to Blount Memorial to get a chest tube etc..the trauma from that caused a heart failure. ICU for a couple days...she did well though and gets to go home today.
Granny (wife of recently deceased Msgt. Webb ) had to go 911 from passing out. Long story short...her kidneys failed. Nothing they can do except dialysis..she tried it a couple times then quit eating. She says no mas. Sending her home tonight with hospice and they say 1 week or less. Love her very much.
So for those keeping score... I had 2 brothers, 2 parents, and 2 Gparents little over a year ago.
In a week I will have 1 brother, 1 mom...and that's it. Thankful for mom doing better even though at this point I think she has no desire to live. Her husband and both parents now gone in a very short period of time.
God doesn't make mistakes...and we operate on His clock. From here it feels pretty bad though. I am honestly still kinda numb from it all and get hit by waves of grief sometimes from nowhere. Doing my best to keep depression at bay for my kids. I dont even really want to be here anymore but checking out isn't an option with kids. There is more to life than just pain...but I dont remember what it actually feels like. Surreal.

I've never been to Iowa, but I will have to say after phone-banking for Iowa the last month or so, they are incredibly polite folks. That includes Trump supporters as well, no one has cussed me yet. Really nice people up yonder.
I wish i had words of comfort for you, my friend. There is simply some very low points in our time on Earth. I hope you can navigate the valley you're in with strength for your wife and kids. God's blessings on you and yours. So after losing my brother dad and pappaw back to back...my mom had to go in for surgery to get a pacemaker last week. Who was that? I saw the Allman Brothers as an opening act in the late 60's. Nobody had ever heard of them. Most , if not all their songs then, were instrumentals, and they had 2 drummers. I had never seen that before then.Saw them in Memphis at the Liberty Bowl. The band that came on before 3 Dog Night was a lot better by far.

I know Black Oak. I saw Doobies in concert too.The band's name was Black Oak Arkansas......They were so good that night everybody was so impressed with them. I went out & bought a couple of their albums afterwards.
The Doobie Brothers were the first band I saw where they had two drummers playing in the band.
