With the unimportance of NSD nowadays...does this mean they have big commitments lined up to make the day meaningful? Probably reading too much into it, but one can hope. I hope for their own sake they aren't setting up these events and all we close with is...Edrick Lofton.

I mean bama has been dominate for a decade and their staff is a revolving door. It’s not like they are just gonna disappear. They will be 1 or 2 in the West next year.

Also - I’m not being picky. Even if it is a shot, which is ok to go for too, ill gladly take a title even it meant 0-12 the next year.
The difference is that Saban is actually a great coach...while Ogre is a figurehead fraud, nothing but a slobbering yawyawing idiot bufoon.

I figure it’s jealousy. They know he’s connected and set up and are trying to convince themselves he’s not what they wish they could be. Most probably not saying all. I sure some are just a holes that want everyone to be as miserable as themselves. Just a guess. 🤷‍♂️
😂 "...trying to convince themselves he's not what they wish they could be." Sums it up perfectly.

Isn't it about celebrating the class not the last 2?

Been a little more involved there than a few coaches, imo.

But regardless, what's happened at Bama has never been done before or since.. never, never, never.
Always gives me a little laugh when someone just throws them out as "an example".

I mean how many actual dynasties have their been in modern college football? Look all the top programs they are constantly losing positions to become either head coaches or coordinators. Clemson seems to be more the exception than anyone else especially considering their weird DC who doesn’t want to be a head coach.

Look at all the Ohio state assistant coaches that have became head coaches recently.

Herman, fickle, durkin, Ashe, withers

So? We're not starting at OSU's level either. Stabilizing and creating a solid foundation is absolutely a necessity for us right now.

My goodness, It's not like he rehired Larry Scott. He hired a very solid and proven OC that's not going to be gone next year.

Actually when i said that I was referring to the fact i knew that Kirby was interviewing folks to take the OC role and demote Coley weeks ago...so in fact no I wasn’t wrong.

KS has decided to give their entire offense an overhaul....which i believe could be sting them in many ways. Let’s see how it plays out.
AV, which coach did they lose in order to hire Monken? Is Coley being demoted to an analyst role? By my count, they don’t have an opening for an offensive coach yet, unless we stole Dell Mcgee as our RB coach....

I have no doubt that he does, haha. But no matter when it happens, I think he's working on sustained, not just a flash.
Believe he's truly *building a program* not just a team.

Totally agree. Butch recruited the stars without a plan. No concept of how they fit together as a team or how he was going to use them. Player development was nonexistent. The only thing he proved was how great Josh Dobbs was by Josh covering up all of his failures.

Pruitt has a process. You can see it taking hold. As I've said before, he's fixed both the OL and the DL, at least from a talent and depth perspective. The secondary has talent, although I was a little disappointed at the 2020 class except for Lawrence, maybe Slaughter. LB needs depth but the 3 kids from Memphis will help that. The 3-4 requires a lot of depth at LB. We're still hunting for pass rushers. I've never been fond of the 3-4, I felt the defensive success of the 90's was that beastly four man DL that just overwhelmed the other team's OL, but I'm just a commenter on a message board.

The big holes are still WR, RB and learning if Bailey is everything they say he is. You know Pruitt sees the problem with the WRs based on his comments to the press about how recruits should want to come here. We may have gotten a couple of under the radar guys this year but that's not elite like LSU, Clemson and Ala$ama have. We're not Wide Receiver U right now. It really hurts to see Carl Pickens' son at UGA and Tee's son at Clemson.

Those young TEs need to grow up fast.

If Tee Hodge (230 and fast) can stay healthy he's going to help RB but I'm always wary of a player who keeps getting injured in HS. You just wonder how he's going to hold up in the SEC. Except for the poorly used Kamara, we haven't had an elite RB since Jamal Lewis. I'll be surprised if Pruitt's 2021 recruiting isn't heavy on pass rushers, WR and RB. The one thing that will help recruit the RBs is if that OL develops to the elite level. Time for Friend to step up.
