I really like and admire JG. He has guts and moxie. I love to hear him speak. Very poised. However, my hand starts to quiver and I feel cold sweat on my neck when he comes into a game. Plus, the race is on as I spring to the liquor cabinet. I love him, even if he is really bad for my health, and my cardiologist recommends against him.

The thing that bothers me more than the Bama fiasco , is the inexcusable misses to wide open DWA & Jennings by a 4th year QB. This is easy High School throws. Doesn't matter if you've had 20 different OC's.
If Maurer or JTS are throwing balls like that by their 4th year ,
I do not want them in the game.
it's just QB malpractice.
While I agree that JG's inconsistency is extremely frustrating, even Trevor Lawrence missed pretty badly on several throws in the CFP. I am not saying that JG and TL are comparable, but I think if you are going to get a mixed bag from one of the nation's best, maybe it is unrealistic to not expect some missed throws from JG.

force of character, determination, or nerve.

Um not sure this word goes in the same sentence as JG

He is not a warrior. He is not a leader. He is not a team player. On top of all that, he single handidly cost us a win at Alabama by doing something that was selfish, insubordinate and stupid. That is one dang play I will NEVER forget. EVER!

Lol. He didnt single handidly cost us a win against Bama. This post is beyond stupid.

I think he has been well trained to play QB for a person with little natural ability. He must work harder than the other guys to get the same results, which is why he has those huge gaffs from time to time. He has proven he is tough and willing to work hard no doubt about that. He is a guy you want on your team. I don't think he is capable of leading a team to the SEC championship game. thats probably not an issue at this point. In any case, for a team needs 2 SEC level QB's to complete a full season. The odds of an SEC QB finishing the season without missing games must be 50-50?

ehh freak si something wrong with polls? I just clicked on this thread and it had me registered as a yes vote..which there is no way in the world i cast.

Should he stay, for now.. yes. Can he handle the pressure and beat out Harrison is the question.

While QB play had been the weak link on the team, and want someone to step up to play QB for us, I do think it’s wrong to hate on JG and I hate the idea of this poll. He’s been a good solid citizen for us and you cannot daily his effort.

Every QB is going to miss some throws. There's a huge difference in missing wide open guys with a clean pocket vs Lawrence overthrowing guys in coverage with a pocket collapsing. LSU had him under pressure much of the night.

Wrong question being asked. He shouldn't transfer, but he also shouldn't start. Would love to have him as a competent backup. Not interested in him playing the majority of snaps next season.
That's the exact POV I was trying to convey a couple of weeks ago and some just didn't get it. I understand wanting somebody else too play, but for the life of me I don't get why anybody wouldn't want him on the roster.

As maddening as he has been, he may be our best option next year. Why would we want to throw that possibility away? Teams have always done better under Chaney in his second year. So, hopefully that is the case for JG as well. He has a lot of the tools, if he can just put it all together.

Sometimes a slightly flawed Senior is better than a fantastic freshman.

Not saying you are wrong, but I would say that is largely speculative. JG's been under a lot of pressure pretty much for his entire tenure here. Our offensive line made some big strides as the season progressed though. Again, I don't want this to turn into a comparison of JG and TL, because I think everyone can see he isn't on the same level as TL. I am simply saying every quarterback misses on throws and he would be great depth next season if nothing else.

Oh I did immediately, I was just wondering why it registered me as a YEs vote before id even visited the thread. Thanks though
The poll is 2 months old, so I'd guess you voted at halftime of the Kentucky game or something. Lol

Here is your chance, as a fan, to say whether Jarrett Guarantano should transfer.
In my opinion, this guy is a warrior. He has given his all for the team and for the school.
I am curious whether anyone would say he should transfer.
Cart before the horse. He still has time to declare for the NFL draft.

Didn’t single-handedly lose the game, just made sure we wouldn’t have a good chance to win it with that beyond ridiculously, stupid decision to defy Chaney/Pruitt and attempt the worst qb sneak in the history of football. If he doesn’t go all dumbass right there, he runs the play that the coaches and his teammates thought they were running and Crouch walks into the end zone.....and Tennessee is within 8 points with 7 minutes to play and poised to have a great chance to pull the improbable upset at Bama.

Instead, he fumbled into the end zone, Diggs picked it up and returned it for 6, Tennessee was then down 34-13 rather than closing to 28-20....and the game was effectively over, and JG closed out an excellent performance that saw him post a 21 QBR.
