Seems Saints hosting wildcard game on Sunday was what forced the wait :(

I don't mind the NCAA using NFL stadiums...but part of me hates it because of schedule conflicts like this.

College football belongs on the weekend. Monday never feels right. Don’t like the wait either. Loses some buzz.

Yep, most of us had fired up the hot board after Vandy in 2016. He should have been fired then. But I feel we have the right guy now and Phil is in charge, so we may be in a better place even if we made it worse to get here.

He's a great hire for Dallas, he wants to run the ball. Dallas has an elite RB & OL and Jones has no issues running the ball. I think he'll win more than Jason did, will him and Jerry get along is the real question down there.

A few season ago, most likely not. A year away from coaching smooths one out tho. And McCarthy has never struck me as someone who likes being in front of the camera...which Jerry loves. With the SB cred, I think the first years will be good and then go from there.

I am sure you are right, but why not play it on, say, Tuesday night? They turn those stadiums around for concerts and other events quickly all the time and Tuesday night would have been like 9-10 days since the semi's. I just think it's crazy to wait THAT long!

I bet we'll both be starting freshman QB's, they'll have Young and we'll have Bailey. They'll be more talented, but we'll be better coached imo. We'll have a real chance in Knoxville to beat them this year. They scored 1 offensive TD against us after Tua went out, and they only scored that one because of that garbage PI call against Taylor. Our defense is going to be legit. Get that offense going and look out.
