Well if we are going off high school stats, it’s clear JG should have never even played at Tennessee.
Regardless, Pruitt has shown in QBs that experience matters. That’s why JG was leaned on so heavily and he was hesitant to turn it over to a one of the freshmen.
With that said, JG (if he stays), Maurer, and Bailey will all likely be the top 3 in spring ball. Since you’re dealing in guarantees and certainties, you somehow think JG will challenge for keeping the job after a second offseason with Chaney but somehow that’s a negative thing for Maurer. Weird flex, but I will entertain it. Secondly, you think Bailey will walk right into it being right there with JG. So let me get this straight. JG is good enough to ensure Maurer will be holding the clipboard but not good enough that a true freshman will walk onto campus and push JG, the 5th year senior with 25 starts, for the job. All while being the QB who got bench in favor of the QB holding the clipboard? The guy who apparently has zero career left because of his play as a true freshman.
