Two gripes I had last night was our questionable to bad red zone playcall and our terrible clock management to end the game. We really left a lot of time on the clock - snapping the ball with 10+ seconds on the play clock etc.
RZ play calling was not the f'n problem, the problem was your man crush throwing the ball 10 feet over the heads of everybody....every freakin pass...dudes were wide open and he butchered it...ALL on JG..

Man Ainge really carrying water for JG this morning. Says he's fixable.

I just don't see it. He doesn't have the mental makeup to play QB in the SEC or probably in FBS football in general.

He's got the physical talent. When he's not paralyzed by indecision and fear he can sling it with the best of them.

Maybe spending the entire offseason with a sports shrink would do him some good. I dunno. He seems too far gone to me.

So I heard a crazy rumor at work today that Peyton Ramsey is transferring and is considering UT(I work with a bunch of people who are connected to the high school where Peyton Ramsey went). It would be a head scratching move to make that jump with a full QB room, but maybe he really wants to compete and thinks he is better than what we have.
I was actually wishing we could trade JG for him last night

I’ve seen Feldman’s tweet and the key word is “expected” in my mind. From talking to people this morning, the Vols have been proactive and DJ has a new deal on the table from TN that he and his family are going to look over. It wouldn’t be a shock to see him go to FSU but as of this morning the Vols were working to keep him.

Chance for serious upgrades and all these are realistic:
McClendon for YAC
Bo Davis for Rocker (recruiting upgrade)
Enos for Weinke

Enos seems the least likely because only Pruitt has ties to him and this hire might be given to Chaney.

Going to need someone with heavy ties in Memphis too.
Football Scoop reported about a week ago that McClendon would be retaining his $1 million salary (from OC) as a wide receivers coach as long as he was part of the SC program, so I don't think he would be realistic at this time.

Last night I scared the bejeezus out of my three year old Lab "Knox."

Keep in mind he is super smart (can open and close doors on his own, can find specific toys by name when I ask for it) and is not scared of anything but the vacuum. Even fireworks don't phase him. Also, I've NEVER beat him. I've rapped him on the nose once when he caught a baby bird and had it in his mouth. I'm also pretty even keel watching the games. I'll will celebrate, say some "gosh darns" or "stupid refs" or "what the f***'s" but don't yell at the tv in anger though I may be boiling inside.

When Crouch ran in for the TD I jumped up of the couch yelling in joy in a dancing around. It startled Knox so bad he pinned his ears back and immediately hit the deck. I could not get him to move, he looked soooo scared. Even giving him treats, scratches and doing our "dance" couldn't give him comfort. Then when Gray got the onside kick a few seconds later I clapped my hands really loud out of impulse but tried not to yell with glee like I wanted it to.
Poor Knox actually start shaking uncontrollably. I've literally never seen him do that. I couldn't even celebrate the second touchdown for fear of his mental state.
I guess he too, cannot handle Tennessee games.

It wasn't just your dog. Mine went and hid behind the couch. Wife went and got her and she (the dog) just kept staring at me like wtf is wrong with you?

Gotcha. I thought they fired him outright. He was just demoted?

Funny thread on VQ about how cameras always pick up the ugliest bunch of TENN fans at games in their gear. Personally, I think the orange is just hard to pull off. I’ve been switching to more white and grey

I see too many dudes walking around at games with those athletic fit UT polos that showcase their spare tires, love handles, and moobs.

The physical talent isn’t there either. He is bad throwing down the field and between the hashes.

Not athletic enough to make plays consistently with his feet either.

It’s just too damn much for some of us

I dunno. He looks good enough at times that I think it's almost entirely a mental issue with him. Not saying he's got a rocket arm, but he would be serviceable if he wasn't a head case.

Agree. He’s been on the program 4 years. He is what he is
Nail on head. Like Hasselbeck said last night he has to see it open before he throws it. Subsequently he's late with the football. I do however doubt we can more win than 7 games if HB starts game 1. Need to get Maurer, Hill, as many practice snaps as possible.
