Well.... they didn't have a kicker. Alabama didnt either. Funny how that works you gotta have a whole team out there.. It's not our fault they come up short on special teams. Other fans have always made fun of us for being "punter U". After the one punt tonight that ky daughter could have kicked getter I was starting to wonder. But we won that game and they lost it. Yes, we had several onside kicks last year that were perfectly executed with the exception of recovering the ball. Luckily they finished the play this time.

Eric Gray was the MVP of the game as far as I'm concerned. He's looking every bit like our #1 RB right now and that was one of the most beautiful and perfectly executed onside recoveries I've seen.

I dont think you can advance and onside after recovering.

The receiving team can advance an onside kick. The kicking team cannot. It was dead where Gray recovered it.

It’s one of those calls that makes you the hero or the idiot. It was perfect, and I’m glad it worked. At the same time with our defense playing well I would have kicked it and played for the stop. If it didn’t work out this thread would instead be titled “fahr Pruitt for that stupid onside call”. But here we are....
