And I could see that being applied to the UTC game. But his other games, he was getting increased snaps in practice. So I’m not seeing how 4 percentage points are getting apologized for. That’s obvious. An unprepared qb is essentially playing without practice and therefore playing “backyard football” as opposed to a prepared one going in with a game plan to take advantage of weaknesses.
Why do you only compare full season stats....?
I don't hate anyone. He isn't as good as the starter or the new recruit. So it is "fair" and accurate in your mind to include a true freshman's trash time numbers in a comparison. JG and BM played in some games against the same team. In 3 of the 4, BM BADLY outplayed JG. Not even same neighborhood.
I am pleased that JG played better for a few games. I hope he keeps it up. Unlike you, my only agenda is for UT to have great QB play. Don't care what their name is. Don't care where they came from. Don't care what skin tone they are.
Your hatred for BM is transparent. Most here are just too polite to say it.
Yeah. There's a wide, wide margin between saying you've only seen two and saying there ARE only two.
I've only heard of one player who threw a ball so hard that he actually split a guy's hand when the nose went between his middle fingers.... but there are probably a lot who could do it if the ball struck just right.
He said literally only two NFL qbs could make throws BM does. Don't lie now @1vol8Yeah... never said there ARE only 2. Was just saying it’s a rare ability to be able to do so.
Because the game he was unprepared for was obviously UF where he ended up 4/11. Add that to the drop vs UTC and the 2 drops to start the game vs UGA and he was 4/14 before completing his first pass. There have also been several drops since. In fact 2 of his 5 ints were drops. None of that speaks to his accuracy like K town is arguing. From UGA on he was 52% including the drops. The UTC game he was prepared but as a runner, not a passer. And I could see that being applied to the UTC game. But his other games, he was getting increased snaps in practice. Look it upBecause that is what matters. Not arbitrary time frames. Lets just look at the last month of the season if we are picking random time frames. That would tell you how players are currently playing. Especially with 1vol8 and his "preparation" stats asterisk.

You are the only one who has a "template" for what he thinks a qb is or looks like. I supported Bray, Dobbs, JG, and Baiuley in order sinnce I have been on here. You had Worley and QD over Dobbs. QD, McBride, Chryst, Maurer over Jg.
Seems like one of us has been right each time while one picks for odd "reasons."
The only game Bm could be considered to play better in is one JG didn't even really play in as one end game drive in a blowout isn't really considered playing in the game significantly.
The sad thing is BM was still 50% passing and terrible after the early drives when they sold out on the run.

Fromm is a perfect example of thisI would give JG an ever so slight edge in performance in the MSU game due to Maurer's redzone turnovers. JG gets the edge in the UK game as well. As for the Florida, Georgia, and Alabama games, there's no question that Maurer outplayed JG.
In my mind, three things will determine if Maurer will be ahead of JG on the depth chart next season: 1) staying healthy 2) taking better care of the ball 3) make the right reads in the RPO game. There's no question that BM offers more upside than JG, but Pruitt seems like the kind of coach who will gladly start a not so explosive game manager if he doesn't have trust in the younger, more explosive player to consistently make the right reads.
I hope Maurer takes those steps. He has game changer potential. I just don't see us winning more than 8 with JG next season. He can be a good game manager, but good game managers don't compete for championships anymore. It takes a game changer at QB these days.
He had been taking second team reps since the UTC game, so not being ready has to be on him a tad. This thing where you villainize receivers for dropping his passes but don’t take that into account for EVERY OTHER QB IN THE UNIVERSE is beyond tiresome. It’s called HOW IT IS. That last interception for Justin Fields against Clemson was on the WR by his own admittance, but it’s not the reason for his % being below 50%...because he made his other throws. If Maurer is this flighty and easily sabotaged as you allege, I hope the delicate flower transfers!Because the game he was unprepared for was obviously UF where he ended up 4/11. For not wanting in on the scrum you sure have a pretty definite opinion.....lol. You’d rather I ramble? You haven’t been paying attention. This came up after the O&W Game when he threw an uncatchable pass that Keyton should have caught anyway...and then intentionally didn’t catch one against UTC. All QB’s throw passes they want back...cept Maurer. For not wanting in on the scrum you sure have a pretty definite opinion.....lol. Thats true. So i guess my question is when comparing accuracy, do drops not count??You’d rather I ramble? You haven’t been paying attention. Never said he INTENTIONALLY dropped anything. And I said he gave up on the route in the spring game. Get your story straight before calling someone out on bsYou’d rather I ramble?
