I hate to say it, but...

Indiana most likely wins this game. We are too cocky and they have more talent and have played a tougher schedule. Hope I'm wrong...

It doesn't matter if fans are cocky. Not even a little. It is Pruitt's job to assure the team neither under nor over estimates IU. Both are dangerous. Both have cost UT games over the last 30 years.

IU more talented? If so... then folks need to stop panicking about the recruiting rankings. Over the last 4 years, IU has averaged the number 50 class. UT has averaged the number 16 class. IU has signed zero 4/5* players. UT signed over 30. So if those rankings mean anything at all... that is an overwhelming talent advantage for UT.

The best 4 teams IU played happen to also be the only teams they played who were bowl eligible. The lost to all of them- Michigan, PSU, Michigan St, and Ohio St. Sorry. Those teams simply aren't better than Bama, UGA, UF, and UK. The bottom 2/3's of their schedule is MUCH worse.

We are not cocky we are confident, there is a difference. We have more talent and we have played a tougher schedule. We do need to bring our A game and show their is no doubt who is better! GBO!!!!!

I think it'll be a close, hard-fought game. Too many people dismissing Indiana because the name on the jersey, but they are a better team than people realize. Nevertheless, I feel like we're the better team overall.

That said, not having Jennings for the 1st half is a big blow and we may not have Kennedy either (or even if we do, he might not be 100%). We have to hope that Jennings' replacement (not sure who it will be - Byrd? Tillman?) steps up.
I agree. After watching them a little more, only saw them against OSU before.
They definitely have some offensive weapons. The look good on both the offensive and defensive line. They run the RPO very well.

but, Neither one is a "blueblood"
It doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is if the fans that are being too cocky are blueblood fans. If they are, they can have an effect on the game that will most certainly make a difference than if neither are blueblood.

VOL fans may be over confident as usual but most fan bases are. I highly doubt coaches and players are taking IU lightly.
As a fan I am confident, but no doubt we need to play our best. Anything can happen if you don't show up in the right frame of mind. I think both teams are well prepared and will be ready, as a Vol fan I want to see us play a solid 4 quarter game. I don't think or have seen anything for me to think we are taking IU lightly, if anything their fans seem equally as confident. But as far as the teams I believe they are focused, I just believe that the Vols are coming out to make a statement that we are on our way back in the SEC! GO VOLS! Clobber the Hoosiers! GBO!!!!

I have a lot of uncertainty about the program but I don't see a loss coming. There's always the chance of a fluke upset where they capitalize on early mistakes and we compound the issue by chasing the scoreboard, but that's highly unlikely from my POV.

I wish I could have an effect on a game. That would be pretty cool.

Jennings will come in the second half with all the frustration of sitting out the first half and put on a show. No worries at all!

I'm just glad it's game day. Really sick and tired of watching teams I dont care about. Both teams ought to be motivated! Go Vols!
