Impatient people. This will be the first time in half a decade that we will have the same OC for two years in a row. Oh, and he is a really good OC. So maybe JG has been hindered by having to learn a new system every single year and now he will actually get to play for the same guy. Would you be good at your job if your boss changed every year and you had to completely learn a new way to do your job? Quit hating. JG will be fine next year and will be the bridge we need to allow HB to redshirt and adjust to the college game.

This is what I’m saying. I just disagree with the people who think we’re good to go with Guarantano at QB. Give him credit for turning his season around, but I’m still not that confident he can be what we need consistently. There’s a reason why Pruitt and Chaney are kicking the tires with the idea.
Are they? How do you know this?

Nailed it. It’s the latter. If you haven’t noticed, any opposing player or coach that experiences a good deal of success, is deemed a scumbag, douche canoe, cheater, etc. They hate em’ cause they ain’t em’.

Yeah, most of the Clemson hate seems to be premised on them stealing all of "our" recruits, particularly Lawrence, Higgins, and Rogers. That's fair enough, but I'd argue that our program at the time wasn't getting any of them, and if anyone is to be mad at, it is Butch Jones for running off Lawrence (if the rumors are true).

People see them as a recruiting competitor to us, and that is not wrong, but one could also make the argument that during Clemson's run under Dabo they have been getting a lot of great players that would have otherwise gone to teams we actually play on an annual basis, like UGA, Bama, and South Carolina. Probably even a few that they "stole" from Florida as well.

He won 11 games at wazzou. Is that their best season ever? He also just threw for 3,000 yards in the league.

You don't watch much football do you my man?

25 QBs in the NFL threw for 3k or more yards this season. It's not exactly a difficult feat anymore. Also NFL numbers hold what weight in this discussion?

Point is Mike Leach QBs pad the stats big time in college, their NFL performance is completely irrelevant to that point.

Apparently Sam Pittman called Tate Ratledge and told him "You need to stay with Georgia, that is the place for you."

Can't make this stuff up. Never in a million years would a coach from another SEC program recruit for UT. I'd be livid if I was a hog fan.
If true I'd say the honeymoon is over for Pittman at Arkansas.

Really not understanding the hate for Trevor Lawrence. He got killed out there the other night and still won the game for Clemson. For a guy that looks like he should be such a pretty boy who has been on a front-running team that has just been better than everyone else they've played until Saturday, he showed a lot of toughness and competitive spirit getting up off the mat and leading his team to victory. Or maybe the latter part is what makes people hate him that much more.
I think it's more dabo hate

Tate: "Coach, I'd like to flip and follow you to Arkansas."

Pittman: "I really don't think Arkansas is the place for a 5* OT like yourself. I've been there. You should stick with Georgia. That is where you belong. You would be way down the depth chart at Arkansas."

Tate: "Ummmm... ok I guess coach. Good luck in Arkansas."

Pittman: "Thanks Tate."

Fairly certain that never ever happened.

Lol so being a starting QB in the NFL and throwing for 3k is an easy task? Who is the last QB of ours to do this?

I’m all for taking grad transfer linebackers and defensive linemen but I need them to be starters at the school they’re leaving. I’m not using a scholarship on a one year depth piece.

I also don’t think the 2021 class (which you’re stealing scholarships from) is ultra important given how young we’re going to be the next few seasons.

Huh?

I'm not saying he was in play for Arky, just that he kept him from flipping to UT or Bama.

Probably true. I get that people don't like Dabo wearing his religion on his sleeve and doubt his sincerity. It's not my thing either. To me he is just like Bobby Bowden, who had this persona of being a Christian Good Ole' Boy Grandpa, and meanwhile had a booster network paying half the kids he recruited, many of whom were probably criminals. I'm not a huge fan, but I prefer him to humorless, miserable human beings like Saban and Meyer.

All that being said, I think Coach O is a National Treasure and would love to see LSU beat Clemson in two weeks.

Why would he care what Tate did after he left UGA? I don't see Pittman taking the time to convince Tate to stay at UGA. He was probably busy trying to salvage the Arky recruiting class.

Still not relevant to the point that Mike Leach college QBs sling the ball around Hanky.

Also for what it's worth, there's only been one Tennessee alumni QB that has passed for 3k or more yards in the NFL in the entire history of our program.

I don't see saving as being humorless I think he loves playing with reporters. I agree Urban Meyer has all of the personality of a dog turd.
