Yep. Wife wanted our only bathroom remodeled. Did it (sort of) while she and son were in GA for xmas). Of course remodels in 90 year old houses, especially bathrooms, don't usually start out well. Under the old, very heavy cast iron tub were about 50 walnuts and two pair of girls undies. And not much subfloor, even into the void rotten wood leaves between the bottom wall plate and the sill plate. So, basically, 2 days of re-framing and such. Long story short, after she finally realized I wasn't gonna be done today, she conceded (directed me) to having the toilet in and functioning, and they could take showers at moms for a few days. So, I finished tiling the floor first, instead of the shower (doing it backwards), cleaned the place up, and decided it was time to lay down. My 54 year old body quit laying tile for a reason. Told Alexa to wake me up at 5AM so I could put toilet in. I woke up during the violent wind storm, and decided I was awake, and here we are to the culmination of two priorities. Hers was to have a toilet, mine was to not get into trouble for not having one.

Wife just called me. didn't like toilet cause of the cheap plastic seat. I said you know that's what comes in all toilet kits, and is why there is half a wall of nothing but toilet seats hanging up at Lowe's. So, we're good.

Funny thing about toilet getting replaced, other than what existed was one of those weak flushers without much water in the bowl. My niece, who is roughly 5'9" had it put in when my brother tiled the bath for her 10 years ago while she was living there. It was one of those chair height toilets. My wife is 5'2". She was borderline needing a step stool to rest her feet on.

Quick question. does anyone know how long It takes for mortar to cure and tile should sit before walking on it and setting toilets?

24 hours the thinset should be firm enough to walk on. 36 or more would be better although I have been on the tile and not touching the grout after 12. I'd err on the side of caution and go at least 36 after grout. Helps to keep the grout damp just like concrete also.
