What those whining about Barnes fail to remember is how effed up the roster was when he started at UT. He added 5 in his first class and 7 in his second. If it wasn't a dumpster fire at the beginning perhaps he could have been adding 3 or 4 each year. It's not an ideal situation to entice recruits to join a program when it is going to be heavily weighted with upperclassmen for their first few years. Barnes has upgraded the roster. He can't control injuries. He can't force players to not be dumbasses if they don't want to go with the program. Kids start getting recruited now around the 7th and 8th grade. I'm pretty happy that Keon, Springer, Walker, Vescovi, James, Gaines, Olivier, Plavsic, and the rest decided to sign with TN. I'll take those guys over perfectly balanced classes every year.
