2020 qb comparison/talk/debate (merged)

My take on this whole thing is that JG has become what I like to call a “silent leader”, if that makes any sense. For the kid to stick around and deal with what’s thrown his way, I salute him for it. I want him to ball out next year, getting us up big the first few games, then letting Bailey get some mop up duty before eventually taking over. JG has become a great teammate from where he started.

I agree, he has become a great teammate...JJ reactions to his start at Vandy led me to believe rhat JG leadership skills are weak...a leader makes everyone better around them. I havent seen that yet...i hope he can do it tho. We need a leader at QB

That’s where the silent leader thing comes in. He’s just not a vocal leader, but he definitely has everyone’s attention.

What reaction are you talking about? JJ has said several times he believed in JG and that JG was our best option and should be starting.

Weather and probably personal issues were a huge part of the slow start at Vandy.

No doubt about it. He was actually ok after the 1st qtr. Started 0/7 with an INT and then went 6/10 for 120 and 1 TD before we closed up shop and just ran the clock out.
So eric gray demanding 8 or 9 in the bix had nothing to do with it. Lol

I could tell you SO many stories of why you shouldn’t believe everything you hear from the media. You can bet that anything they say is half truth because they are following a narrative. Maybe JJ did go to Pruitts office. Maybe he was summoned. Maybe he was asked how he felt about JG starting rather than voluntarily giving his opinion. But the narrative would lead you to believe that JJ made a special trip to Pruitts office on his own just to discuss the qb position which I HIGHLY doubt was the case. Don’t be so gullible

It's true. Sorry it doesn't fit your made up golden boy, chosen one narrative.

They believe in JG and want JG to play. Not BM

But his behind the LOS and to the LOS passes are on point!
I know you’re just making a joke but actually JG struggles most with his accuracy when throwing to the flat and the shorter stuff, it maybe his biggest flaw. He much more accurate throwing down field.

Yea but in a good way??..for me he seems selfish....focus on his last name after 3 years with "tano" now its a focus...also the mentioning of the threats right after his career game. why not KY or so or sooner...my guess is it happened after Ga st or BYU....why mention it at all if you didnt file a report??? All for attention

How do you KNOW how true it is K town? You don’t. You only know what they told you. They told us santa was real at one time too didn’t they? Well.... that’s true. Only they didn’t tell you who santa was. Hell.... even your parents were in on that one. All I’m saying is although there may be a little truth to what the media tells you doesn’t mean you’re getting entire story which almost ALWAYS sheds a different light on the actual truth. Like it or not

Joe Burrow has 7 touchdown passes in 1 half of football against Oklahoma.

Guarantano had 12 total td passes in the entire 2018 season. He has 16 in 2019.

How is that even possible? And before all of you start touting all of JG tremendous numbers this offseason, remember this stat, the one that counts.

Joe burrow is a 5th year senior. He's been amazing, but before this year he wasn't on anyone's radar.. he actually only had 16 TDs last year. Let's not act like he's been doing this before this year. The most impressive this to me beside his accuracy is his pocket presence, JG just doesn't seem to have that feel. Hopefully he can improve that area.

Wasn't last year his 1st chance at starting?... mean 38 passes the 2 years before...
