The Official Tennessee vs. Wisconsin Game Thread, 1:30 PM ET, CBS

I know the NIT isn't the goal and is seen as a failure, but honestly if Barnes gets this team right now into the NIT I might actually call that a win given the situation. Right now they look like they'll struggle to win another game.

I hate to be a downer, but I kinda see the same. This team is capable of losing to anyone if we continue to shoot so poorly.

There’s like three freshmen in the country that do that lmao. If that’s how you judge a freshmen you aren’t very well versed in basketball.
Lol there’s a lot more than 3 Frey mane in the entire country that are actually productive. Outside of James, ours are pretty pitiful

Everyone’s on the same wagon. Not our fault guys forgot how to shoot...not just this game. It’s just reality. We have no go to guys so that means everyone has to step up. In fairness I didn’t expect we would be great this year...but blowouts are another story.

Not really. People come out in force when things go bad. Just the way the world revolves these days.

They will be fine. Gaines will be solid, and ON will as well. My goodness. Grant Williams wasn’t All-American as a freshman. We have some spoiled fans.
Gained hasn’t shown me anything. Doubt he’ll ever be a contributor here

that starting 5 would give our current starting 5 a run for its money

I just said it was worse. Barnes fixed Punter’s shot, beat UK at home, and won 15 games with Punter out the last few weeks of the season. Yet people are freaking out about this team.

That’s not what your original requirement was. You said feared, which is silly. And just because they’re struggling now doesn’t mean the potential is there.

What’s funny is, I’m actually most disappointed with JJJ

That and people like to declare something and then refuse to back down on said stance, and would rather be right above anything else. Some here aren't going to budge on their stance on Barnes unless he wins a freakin' National Championship. Same with Pruitt.

He's a freshman. I wouldn't be so quick to write him off. Problem for him will be the talent coming in the next couple of years. He might get passed over

Well they’re not going to make the tourney so, yeah I’d say freaking out is understandable.

I doubt you understand basketball.

Being a starter as a freshman is a contributor btw, so you are already wrong
Actually its Called desperation. I know plenty about basketball and know talent when I see it. Don’t see a lot on this current team to be honest

Bowden has gone from being the 4th option to the 1st option. Defenses now key on him. He does not have much help either.
Yep. People talk about his poor performances but when they are essentially doubling/switching him on every screen and curl it’s hard to get good looks. Teams know the rest of the team can’t beat them so they can take him away with aggressive defense and he’s not good enough at creating his own shot to create enough on his own.
