It has become 100% acceptable for the media to be flat-out wrong about stuff and retract later, or not retract at all and just pretend that it didn't happen.

Atlanta Vol (our insider) indicated Kiffin is taking a shot at a few of our coaches earlier today which started this conversation. Take it with a grain of salt, I'm sure new HC's reach out to a lot of coaches. I'd guess he's talking to some at Bama, maybe LSU, etc. I'm sure they have a long list of potentials. It doesn't mean anything till it does, right now we're just pontificating...

Sam Pittman didn't need that experience to get the Arkansas job.

They should be as prepared for KY offense as anyone. Similar to what Paul Johnson ran for years in same division... SEC never sees triple option / wing t in conference which is why they were effective IMO

Having some familiarity with them, I will at least say this about Indiana - their offense sure isn't boring to watch. A lot of modern concepts. 27th in plays ran/game and they will run their QB all the time (2nd most rush attempts on the team). Interesting mesh concepts we haven't seen yet, such as holding the mesh point and walking it right up to the LOS before handing off or making a quick short pass. Different stuff.

At least won't be bored watching us smack them.

Well, we've played Indiana once before. 1988 peach bowl on January 2nd. Vols won 27-22.

Coincidentally in the 1988 draft, the Vols had #9 draft pick Terry McDaniel selected. Indiana had the #10 selection Eric Moore.

You don’t NEED coordinator experience to be a HC...doesn’t hurt.
