Why does the SEC do it that way? Don’t like the socialist policy there. Some garbage program who goes to the toilet bowl shouldn’t get as much as an upper tier SEC program who goes to the Sugar Bowl. Shut up and get better if you want the money.
Sorry I should have added that I’m pretty sure representing teams of NY6 and playoff games get bonus money while the other bowls are equal split but still get a cut of the upper bowls

So he did a little bit better at a not so okay conference. Okay
Some of you people need to pull your head out of your rear end with some of these takes. FAU was like 8-37 or something like that in the four seasons prior to his arrival. The guy comes in there and wins 2 conference titles in 3 years. I’d say that’s pretty good.

“Dan, do you think Kirby is getting the most out of his talent?”

Where was your rear end when he was coaching at USC with all that talent? Are you really expecting him to turn the SEC West upside down because he won 2 championships in whatever conference that even is? He did okay. Let's see how he does in the SEC before we put a crown on his head.

And that's fine. That's your opinion. I don't share it. I didn't say Kiffin was a bad coach. I'm also not prepared to call him a good coach. He had his struggles as a P5 HC and found success in a lower conference. Maybe experience has taught him something. Maybe he'll do good at OM. Lots of maybes. You'll have to pardon me if I don't swoon over him though. He doesn't make my heart go all aflutter and have my knees quaking in despair about what he may or may not do as a coach and in recruiting. Kiffin had his shot at Tennessee. Now we have Pruitt and I'm fine with that. People can get over this manlove for the guy or go support OM....IMO.

To be fair, Kiffin was doomed at the start at USC with the sanctions and scholarship reductions. On top of that, he was a young, arrogant, and immature prick.

Would have needed a helluva coach to pull them out of that back then.

He seems to have matured quite a bit, did some good things at Bama and FAU.

I think he will get Ole Miss up and running. Get together a group of good to elite recruiters and be the 3rd best team in the west with 7-5 to 8-4 seasons with the occasional upset sprinkled in ala Freeze.

I take the conference into consideration.
Take into consideration that program had previously gone 3-9 the year prior to his arrival while winning 9 games in the previous four years as well. Guy comes in and leads them to their first 11 win season in program history right off the bat. 2 conference titles in 3 years in any conference simply isn’t “okay” by any stretch of the imagination. Truth be told you just don’t like guy. Therefore he’s not a good coach. Not how it works.
