The ole Dana Kirk scenario. He supposedly was in pretty deep with some guys gambling at Colonial Country Club. I believe he was caught in FBI wiretaps. That's how they found out about him taking money, from a booster, that was earmarked for a basketball player from West Memphis. It was said the booster gave him cash (over $10K) for the kids family and he kept the money to help pay his gambling debts. That was a long time ago but it was entertaining

Andy probably wanted a full-game suspension, the SEC was willing to go along and UT compromised for half a game so JJ wouldn't miss his last game. The SEC shouldn't be allowed to sanction without video proof.

Rivals is the least of ranking issues. They have him 3rd overall qb, which is pretty reasonable. He didn't drop to 39th, just had about 7 or 8 guys jump him. They seemed to have him hold serve...which still doesn't really make sense given their reasoning (his camps are better than season performances). Seems they want to see him in some all star game 1 last time and may bump him.

All said, 247 and espn have him far lower. 247 has to correct him and the UGA commit Carson Beck before final evals. BS already said as much, we will see if he is good on his word. Beck has sucked this year. No way they can swallow that gap with how each has played this season.
