I disagree, Bama fans hate Tennessee, they give out cigars for one game only. Bear Bryant hated Tennessee, he viewed us as their biggest rival. All this was flip flopped in the late 90's early 2000's when Tennessee dominated, and Tennessee never stopped caring about beating Bama. The hate is palpable.

People forget that in the late 90s early 2000s bama had a 3 win season and two 4 win seasons. They were as "irrelevant" as we are now.

1. Any nonchain pizza place named after an Italian guy

2. Papa Juan's
3. Dominoes
4. Pizza Hut
5. An old shoe left on the side of the highway
6. Little Caesar's

I haven't eaten there since 2010, when I moved back to Nashville, but Little Italy on Union in Midtown Memphis was some of the best thin crust pizza I had outside of Little Italy in NYC. Awesome calzones as well. He was a transplanted New Yorker.

Any of you nerds in here know for sure if scholarships granted to walk-ons are for only a year or for the duration of their time at Tennessee? I don't know that I've ever thought about it before now, but I assumed they stayed on scholarship as long as they were on the roster.

I was trying to break down our current numbers, as bad of an idea as that may seem. lol.

Let's look at scholarship numbers

This is glorious.

A lot of unknowns. One thing that isn’t an unknown is those 3 kids that just went on scholarship shouldn’t be counted as having one for 4 more years. That’s not reality and the answer of having a “full ride” was plain old irrelevant. Of course it was a a full ride it couldn’t be anything else but that doesn’t mean it’s for all their time here

The big numbers question for me is how does Solomon count. Imo he won’t count toward any classes 25 so we have 8 spots left.

If he does count toward a classes 25 then the other two kids have to count as well and that only leaves 5 spots. I don’t think that’s the case

They’d sunk to the bottom of the roster and two that redshirted this season had already passed them...Akpo and Lampley. That doesn’t include Carvin and Calbert who are mainstays.

No concern about the OL next season whatsoever from me. 2nd team RT is about the only item on the to-do list IMO. Not sure who will earn that slot yet, maybe Akpo or an incoming freshman?

Lol...Alabama doesn't give 2 $hits about UT right now. The program has been dodo for too long. It's like hating the pretty chick every time you see her because she won't go out with you. So you cut in front of her every chance you get. You try to insult her by telling her, her shoes are dirty or happy when her boyfriend breaks up with her. Dude she doesn't know you exist right now. Unless you start getting some other hot chicks, she will really never care who you are. Take some baby steps and get a date consistently.

I know Bama fans that still hate UT more than any other school not named Auburn. True Bama fans hate UT and true UT fans hate Bama. It is what we do and forms much of the core of our very beings. If you don't hate Bama like that, you need to work on your fan game. @nicksjuzunk offers personal training in a variety of areas. (including geography if you are so inclined)

Truth. I lived in Tuscaloosa during our span of domination over them. (My Dad is a preacher, no better mission field than Tuscaloosa). Used to hear things like “We’ll never be relevant again” and “It’ll be awhile before we beat Tenn again.” That’s why I don’t buy into the whole this program is a better job than that one. If your program is willing to spend the money then you’re as good as the head man you get with the staff that you’re willing to pay.

I think what he is trying to say is take 4-500 whacks at a tree and when it falls down, you rest. Then, there is some light where the tree was, and now it’s time to cut more trees, and now we are where we want to be at

See now... when you explain it I still don't know what the heck he was talking about.

Watching Philly fans have a complete meltdown was all I needed to see. His presence is going to do wonders for Max Fried's career.
Those savvy veterans on one year contracts. Keuchel was a godsend last season in that department. Hopefully Hamels ramped that up and this squad can finish at least a series in the playoffs.

I’m sure the wording is that they’re renewed yearly, but Pruitt isn’t an idiot. You have a feel good story of walk-ons earning a scholarship and think you can slip it under the radar when they’re removed after a semester? Didn’t make sense when Bruin pulled it out of his butt and it doesn’t smell any better now that Frank started fishing out of his’n.

Oops

You really do have a habit of being wrong a lot around here

Lol ashamed to admit that at one point i convinced myself i would be ok with it if he brought half of Ohio stages staff.

Better than Florida State? Ohio State and Bama ready to dump their HC’s?
Would you really put FSU that high?

I would say good chance Texas opens up next year just to name one that I would put higher than FSU.

Locklear, Tatum, and Johnson aren't very good. Trey is gone. We do really need Kennedy to be able to be allowed another year though I agree.
They are experienced depth and would have played vital snaps next year. They weren’t starters, but still important. Like I said, it’s a much bigger loss than it appears on the surface.

How are YOU going to be right on this, Mr Blowhard? It’s going to require these kids having their scholarships revoked. You seriously think that’s going to happen? Offering you an easy $100 if you want to make it interesting. 😎

Hubbs said on the Xtra point on Sunday that it's not uncommon for those scholarships to be given and taken away as the availability of those is there or not. Said it in no way would affect the numbers for this class.

Ok I wonder if you will get as many posters to side with you when arguing with Hubbs instead of me. I bet you won’t

1. Papa Johns
2. Little Caesars
3. Dominos
4. Pizza hut

Convince me I’m wrong.
1. Papa Johns has correlated pretty closely with Tennessee football. It was really good in the 90s and early 2000s. But something changed and usually is pretty crappy ever since then. The difference is that I couldn't care less if Papa Johns is ever good again, which brings me to point #2.

2. The Little Caesars thin crust pizza is one of the best things on this planet.

3. Dominos, puke.

4. Pizza Hut, meh.
