Any of you nerds in here know for sure if scholarships granted to walk-ons are for only a year or for the duration of their time at Tennessee? I don't know that I've ever thought about it before now, but I assumed they stayed on scholarship as long as they were on the roster.

I was trying to break down our current numbers, as bad of an idea as that may seem. lol.

Let's look at scholarship numbers

Sounds like Mizzou may be trying to bring ol Jimmy "Shark Humper" McElwain back to the SEC.
I dont understand these ADs that think a coach that couldnt win at Florida can suddenly do it at their much less equipped University. I think most people felt Muschamp would fail at South Carolina because he couldnt do it at Florida. McElwain is a good coach, but the SEC is too big for him.

Watching the offense they ran with Tyrod Taylor and Lesean McCoy was awesome. Much like what Greg Romans is running now, the multiple uses of tight ends and crazy formations.

True.... definitely gets the most out of the talent he has to work with... Would have to pay big money...

Think this topic was discussed right after the 3 were handed out a few weeks ago. The duration seems to have been the answer, if I remember correctly.

I just found out too that Tyrod is Rivers' backup and they have been talking about benching Rivers. Lynn ought to dust off them playbooks and run some of that stuff with Taylor and Gordon...oh my.

That's what I would have guessed but I didn't know for sure. Did you guys look at total number of guys on scholarship? Wondering if that 66 number I came up with from another guy's list is accurate.

Wasn't a consensus on total numbers.

Someone did but the portal is gonna play a role.
Montgomery's mom is a poster here and she had said his scholarship was "full ride" in response to a similar question as your original.

Now that you mention it, I think I remember reading that.

I’m sure the wording is that they’re renewed yearly, but Pruitt isn’t an idiot. You have a feel good story of walk-ons earning a scholarship and think you can slip it under the radar when they’re removed after a semester? Didn’t make sense when Bruin pulled it out of his butt and it doesn’t smell any better now that Frank started fishing out of his’n.

When I liked riding, I bought a product we called a 10 speed. Now it was way, way cheaper, so it didn't talk to me or anything. But the virtual reality was so good, we called it actual reality.

Bad weather? You could bring it in, raise the back and pedal all you wanted. Basically witchcraft.

Kids today be like....

"Go outside?....

Agree. He needs to stay out West or up North.

Mizzou is an absolute embarrassment for the conference. No money, no facilities, no fan support and enrollment has fallen off a cliff since the whole woke demonstration on campus. They literally are an outlier in every category and have no cultural fit.

They should have rode it out with Odom.

Kids don't ride bikes much anymore. When I was a kid I almost killed myself multiple times trying to pull off some ridiculous trick.
