The Impeachment Thread

It certainly must coming from someone exhibiting the breadth of experience and wisdom you impart on this forum

But excuse me if i say I would accept your observations in a second if they came from that group of 35

They think Trump is unfit for office. I’m good with their opinion

I’m also good with the signed opinion of 850 prosecutors who said They saw sufficient evidence that they would have indicted Trump

Those 850 are not palace eunuchs
I think you need to find someone who didn't think he was indictable on obstruction to have this conversation with.

You are exactly correct. If a Dem get’s in (s)he will face that music. The public does not see that the economy expands/contracts in cycles. Thus the President in power gets credit for the ups and downs even though the actions causing those ups/downs almost always predated that President’s Terms. One recent exception CoULD be Clinton as he did have a balanced budget that pretty much happened to occur within his terms
Actually Bush seniors tax hikes helped President Clinton's economy. Also, don't you miss when they actually tried to have a budget much less a balanced one?

I'm sure it will. Not that it means a hill of beans.
The only relevance is the establishment of a generally agreed upon reality.

If you haven't noticed, many seem to operate from differing perceived realities.

“Watch my lips”. LOL. I voted for GHWB. I wish he had preservered on TORT reform if nothing else for the the lack of it continuing to be a big component of upspiraling health care costs

Balancing. Budget? It was a shock to me that so many Republicans jumped on this Trump tax fiasco knowing what it woul do to the deficit. Too much emphasis on tying deficit to a growth in GDP that is not achievable/attainable on current metrics

Edit. An unrelated PS. I also voted for Nixon but between his Cambodian lie and Watergate we know how that worked out. LOL

Yes and i gave my thoughts on that. You brought up the prosecutors and i gave my thoughts on that also.
Regarding your thought’s on the 35. Are you aware how THEY justified their opinions to Congress without having spent personal time with Trump or are you basing your opinion solely on the perceived protocol?

You wouldn’t happen to drive a forklift for a living would ya?

Not to brag though, right?
I guess I did forget to mention that I was 4 and 11 the preceding week.
Overall, after 13 weeks, I'm in 3rd place out of 70. (111-84).... not to brag or anything.
I've been in this same pool for about 25 years.

I'd be better at the picks if I could get over trying to pick upsets and go with percentages. Not as successful, but more entertaining. Of course, there are those weeks when you pick the way you should and get less right than just slinging guns. I normally quit entering my picks after about week 8.

Yea. I don't give it much thought. I always pick TN, GT, and the Falcons when they are among the 15. I always pick against UGA and Notre Dame. Everything else is pretty much an uneducated guess. I hate the games when the line gets over 25.
