No Hoke would not allow him to play against Vanderbilt. Had he allowed him to play he would have not been granted medical redshirt, thus this year would not have happened.

Something we can thank Hoke for, JJ was huge for us this year.

Brady Hoke did not let Juan play in the Vandy game. If Juan had played in the Vandy game, he would have lost his medical redshirt for that year. Juan got mad and went on his rant after Hoke did not let him play. Then Hoke/Carrie kicked Juan off the team.

If that turns out to be true, he may very well will hit the portal. He's much too good to just be a special team player at UT.

Best part about having a real football coach is the best players will see the field and special teams is a proving ground for defense.

FSU 247 said that the names they have heard are James Franklin and Bob Stoops. Apparently the AD has kept things quiet, so they can’t say for sure either will be the one. Those are were their first two listed in today’s update.

Why call out just Beasley though? Tyus Fields is a S and was higher rated. Why is Lawrence specifically being recruited over Beasley, who may be an ILB before all is said and done.

Someone else brought him up. Lawrence is going to play Safety, a lot, from Day One.

We can go thru the same exercise at ILB if you’d like. He’s already behind others already here. And it’s only going to get deeper.

Tyus Fields isn’t a tweener, and can play all over the defensive backfield. He’s got a lot more options.
