He's finally healthy and he has clearly been well coached: you can see the improvement. Absolutely loved it.

I fully believe it is coming. They've had no reason to not be "all-in" behind Saban since 2007. Well, the chances of them hiring another Saban are zero. I don't care if it's Dabo. He's not Saban. And the dysfunction will be legendary given how that program's tentacles have wrapped themselves around every aspect of the state of Alabama. No one will be happy if the new guy isn't immediately successful and everyone, politicians and mega boosters included, will have an opinion on what needs to change. It's going to be a disaster for them.

I don't think Saban would allow it. I mean, he can't force that to not happen, but he can manipulate things on his end to make sure it doesn't. Like waiting for Urban to get hired somewhere else before retiring.

IMO Saban wants the program to burn after he leaves, or at least come back down to earth. Makes him look better and secures his legend. He looks a little less important if the new guy comes in and keeps things rolling.

Who wants to take over after Saban? Literally impossible to meet expectations, and their first four loss season will trigger a meltdown of epic proportions.
