Lol, Mike Leach in his 17th or 18th season as HC, 8th I think at WSU, has finished 6-6.

I always loved the argument that he's in the PAC 12, if he had SEC talent...lookout.

Why some of the other PAC 12 teams beating him up with PAC 12 talent? Lol.

"But but but but but his Press conferences would be awesome."

Idgaf!!!

I like Cornbread.

Yep. (By the way, I actually have cash in my wallet for the first time since early September. But counting it is always fun.)

FWIW, I don’t use financial apps on my phone, as there are too many cases of thieves or hackers conning cellular employees to reset PINs, passwords, etc. There’s a lot that can be learned with full access to someone else’s cell phone with their email and whatnot.

I’m not even happy about 2factor authentication using SMS texts for the same reasons as above. But since both my brokerage and retirement accounts use texts (or email) to send the code, I try to minimize risk elsewhere. Including not accessing my financial accounts from my phone.

Nothing is perfect, but maybe if I make it difficult enough for a bad guy, they’ll leave me alone and bother someone else.

You, maybe. 1575143189234.gif

And if something goes wrong with a payment? Posts late, still hasn’t hit when you check your balance, and the bank says you have more than you actually do?

I don’t trust others to care as much about my money as I do.
Send it to me. I'll take care of it!

it's still more secure than giving a number over the phone or handing your card to a waiter to pay. These are fax

The difference being that if someone runs up charges on my CC without my permission, I don’t have to pay, or I get reimbursed if I already have.

If someone empties out a bank or brokerage or retirement account, it’s not nearly as clear. American Express will eat unauthorized charges on my card. I’m unconvinced that the others will do the same on much larger quantities.

I can see every transaction in real time on my bank account online. If I pay for a cup of coffee at the gas station with my debit card I can see the transaction immediately. Are you talking about balancing your checkbook the old fashioned way?

I don’t use debit cards. I’ve had an account pretty much frozen after a cardreader was used to hit a checking account. Every purchase is made with a rewards credit card.

And yes, I write down all transactions (ACH payments for credit cards, automatic payments, the occasional check, plus deposits etc) in a check register. I add or subtract each one when it happens and confirm with the bank every two weeks or so.

And I can tell you, this can be pretty darn handy when trying to hunt down an old purchase or something. It’s at least as much history/record-keeping as it is the + and -.
