Recruiting Forum Football Talk II

It's not just a today thing. Between the largely benevolent "ESPN hates us" (because we couldn't realize that we sucked) from the Dooley years, to how tribal things got re: Butch and more recently JG, to now hating on a pretty good beat writer because of select tweets and articles as y'all ignore the rest of his work.. this forum has gone downhill.

But crazy people don't know they're crazy and the dumb think they're way smarter than they actually are. And they have strength in numbers here.
I think a good portion of volnation liked Ubben up until he, quite obviously, started intentionally ruffling the fans feathers just to gain clicks. He knows damn well he's taking jabs just to gain attention.

Yes, thank you for providing that context. Didn't realize it. That totally changed everything I've said today.
This is just my perception of things right now. After the 2 bad losses early on, the board turned extremely negative with all of the FF folks and trolls. It hasn’t recovered from that yet and it seems like we’ve started eating our own. At some point in the near future it‘ll turn back. Just have to get past the “our recruiting sucks now” crowd.

So, per one of the SB Nation guys, Odom wanted a vote of confidence from his athletic director after the UT game and the AD didn’t give it to him so Odom told everyone on his staff they were being fired and to start looking for other jobs.

Only thing is, Missouri was prepared to bring them back but that pissed them off so bad that they decided to fire them in reaction.

Haslams are running things at Mizzou too?!

I for one will not have you speak of Orange Defense this way. He has brought a lot of information to this board about the greater Dyersburg metro area.

Sounds like an example of letting emotions **** up your business

Need Bama to lose today. If they don't, they're gonna end up in the playoff.
If the game is a close game I'm ok with auburn winning. If it's a blowout, I hope its bammer running up the score. If for nothing else but the cluster I get to witness from Auburn fans here and their lynch mob for the gus bus.

“The move was largely expected, as Missouri had begun vetting candidates in the weeks leading up to the final game. The early read on the Missouri search is that it’ll lean toward an experienced coach with a strong history on the offensive side of the ball.”

Odom is a good DC. I was surprised he kept Mizzou's D as quality as they were when Kul was there. They may not miss anything else from Odom but I do think they'll miss the defenses he produced. As bad as they were on offense this year, they had a top 10 defense.
