Would much rather see them as another p5 but they need to drop some teams. They've got a very solid core to be p5 tho. The SEC doesn't need more teams. We have too many already.
Every conference has terrible teams at the bottom. Uconn is the only team in the conference that isn't investing in getting better though and they're leaving. Tulsa and east Carolina are the next 2 worst teams and they look like they're gonna be better next year. Then you have Houston and USF as the only other teams with a losing record and they have proven they're willing to pay a lot for a coach hiring holgorsen and strong. Strong may get canned but at least they're willing to invest. Any conference getting 7 teams to bowls is impressive though and shows better depth than a couple p5 conferences.

Man, you threw an almost identical shot into a post the other day. Wtf, dude? Especially with what you're complaining about in this post, and you throw that randomass hate in there?

Agreed with this several minutes ago but scrolled on by because I don't like playing any of these cards. Eh, screw that, you're right.

Once = whatever
Second time, seems there's an ever present thought and not a pleasant one.

David, this fanbase generally doesn't mind "negative" stories about the program, or stories that aren't 100% positive and uplifting or whatever. Hell, we rehash our decade of mediocrity on here weekly. The reason you have a bad reputation on here is because you started piling on when the season looked lost after appearing to be a neutral and objective reporter before that happened. It looked like a cheap "betrayal" to get clicks, draw the ire of an easily provoked fanbase, and boost your standing in the sportswriting world by increasing your followers, RTs, etc. Unfortunately, we've been an easy and common target for journalists who do that in recent years.

Perfectly stated.

I can't really argue against that I just think that the AAC has to present a stronger case than those conferences because they don't have the affiliation already. It's not fair but several of their teams should've landed in a p5 and/or kept p5 status when the Big East collapsed. Obviously, someone (or several someone's) don't want them to have that status and they're going to have to fight for it. I think they deserve it tho.
