I had the mumps when I was in high school and I've never heard anyone else tell me they had the mumps. Kinda crazy.
I'm pretty sure I had the mumps in college. Never officially diagnosed though. Doctor just said he had no clue what it was and gave me a bunch of antibiotics. Haha.

I was in the navy during Hurricane Katrina as a helicopter rescue swimmer. We were sent to NOLA for S&R and while trying to save people from flooding, we were shot at by people looting a Walmart below. There's a portion of people who are degenerate ****ing animals and any chance they have to **** over their neighbor, they will eagerly take.

And sadly if you shoot back your ass would be raked over the coals and put in jail because "they were just trying to survive."

Don’t really understand the Ubben hate. I enjoy reading his in depth reporting. It’s interesting that many that show disdain for him are pointing to his negativity towards the program when things weren’t looking great. Not a chance he was more negative after BYU than what I read on this very board.

He is a journalist, not a PR rep for the university. The reporting of news and how it is interpreted has become so twisted in this country over the past few years. It has nothing to do with the truth and everything to do with if what is being said aligns with the reader’s opinion.

I disagree with the second paragraph. Actually, you are correct that “it has nothing to do with the truth” because it is all about clicks. Obviously, journalism has gone from paper to online. It is well known that the online now keeps up with the clicks and how to get more people to read.

In the old days, people would get the paper for box scores, polls, etc. Those things are at our fingertips now, so media has to create readers. Therefore, the media has become less of “reporting the news” and now creates the news. Media members will even tell you this as their bosses expect it.

A journalist used to either report or comment. Now, they make the news.

Nope...just trash.

There are a lot of poor and working class people in this country that are desperate to provide a Christmas for their families. They will do stupid things to make it happen. That doesn't mean they're trash human beings. In any other circumstance, many of these people would never behave like that and others may never behave that way again.

This is why I always thought of The Walking Dead as less of a scifi drama and more of a training video.

Some are trash but a lot of them are just desperate and stupid which is a dangerous combo all by itself.
How about not defending garbage behavior? Desperate is not having food to eat and living in a cardboard box in Haiti..
These people are freaking garbage human beings, and defending this kind of garbage behavior is the reason society is like it is.

I was once garbage, I do not defend or excuse my behavior...I changed it.
