We should want a quality opponent and go out there with the WGWDFA attitude in our Orange britches. We beat a top 25 team and it is HUGE for momentum going into 2020. Maybe even pick up some late commitments after the early signing period. Guess I am an optimist.

Could see that too. But if I'm remembering correctly, the Music City has actually become the most 'prestigious' if you look at it from the money side. So I'm not sure thinking 7-5 just gets us this 'Florida bowl' as if it's some great thing is the right way to make predictions. Again, this is all from memory, so I could be off on payouts, etc.
Nashville is not a bowl game. It is a road game. Bowl games are in Florida.

I would like to see Tenneesee in the Gator bowl since #1 I already have tickets and #2 living in Florida I rarely get to see them live unless it's a bowl game. (I refuse to go to the Swamp which is about as nice as an actual smelly swamp)

IIRC, Gator Bowl administration loves the Vols and shows it!

And if we lose it could hurt our class...I'd rather beat down Indiana or Illinois and look like badasses and impress recruits than to get hammered by Michigan or Pedo St.
You are not going to beat down Indiana or Illinois and if you get beat by them you look even worse. Might as well set the bar high and go for the upset.

I think Tennessee’s bowl fate depends partially on whether or not Florida gets in the NY6.

If they don’t, it bumps everyone down a bowl in the pecking order

And the citrus bowl is licking their chops to have Florida back in their game. Lol

All this bowl talk has got me wondering, "When are we going to see GoPros in the player's helmets?" .

I'm going out on a limb and say LSU and Georgia go to the CFP.
Alabama will play Oklahoma
Florida will play Utah
Auburn will play Wisconsin
Texas A&M will play Michigan
Vols will play Indiana
And I don't care about the rest.
This is how the bowl selection will probably go in this order. As far as the names of the bowls idk don't care either just want to be up against an equally big 10 team that has a better record than us (we all know they don't play anyone worth a damn) so that way it looks better on us when we win.
Only way would be if LSU loses to either UGA or A&M, and I could see them stumbling against A&M before I see them beating A&M and then losing to UGA. You gotta score lots of points to beat LSU and UGA’s offense is a mess.

Any other outcome and either Oklahoma or Utah would jump the 2nd SEC team. No way a two loss UGA is going anywhere.

Clemson is ripe for an upset in the Acc Championship. You heard it from me first.

Who thinks if we just barely beat Vandy will it determine the Gator invite>It sure wont help the Vols chances if we just hangon!I think a Vandy beatdown will get us to the Gator Bowl!Agree or not?

There's something messed up about a post that makes a statement in the subject line (complete with an exclamation point), implying that the poster has some knowledge -- and then backs off and asks a question in the actual post.

I don't know that it matters. I think the SEC will work with all those bowls in the pool to get best matchups. Like I said earlier, I have a sneaking feeling we end up against Va Tech in the Belk.

Hope not. We have played VA TECH too much in the last few years. Besides they are not an exciting team to play against.

Unless they come to the Liberty Bowl, which would be convenient for me, I would like to see them go to a Florida bowl because I think the players would prefer that. I couldn't care less what any of them pay since I'll not likely be receiving a cut.

Slow your roll. I'm going to post a poll to see if we need another "What Bowl" thread. Ill post results ASAP. 💩
Can you also do a poll to gauge whether the average Volnationite feels the need for a poll determining the need or lack thereof for another, "What bowl," thread? I personally feel such a poll is essential at this juncture.
