3rd place in SEC East

Is locked in. Not a bad progress indicator. Lots to do, a long way to go, but one stat no one can deny. In addition, if we beat Vanderbilt, we will have beat all the teams below us, so completely legit.

Tennessee will finish 5-3 in the SEC and who would have thought that would have happened after 5 games?

Damn right b**ch! Weren't the "experts predicting us to finish 5th in the east? Honestly, if it weren't for the dumb penalties tonight, blocked fg's, we played them better than fl. Our defense could've done better, but in reality, we should've won by 3 scores. We dominated that game against their supposed elite defense. Ha!

I think so. I remember Matt Stinchcomb, who I kinda like as an analyst, naming Mizzou as a darkhorse contender for the SEC East back in the preseason. I believe he also said the Vols "just didn't have the horses" this year. I guess we found some horses along the way!

We've had the horses, just needed coaching and time in the weight-room. We're a young team that is coached well. Got a ways to go, but future looking good.

Yep! Their defense hit hard, but were a little suspect in the "playing dirty area". Nothing major, but we gonna kick their teeth for a decade now.

2-6 in SEC play last year. 5-3 this year. That’s a big swing. Unfortunately not sure we beat 5-3 next year as Florida, UGA and Alabama are probably still out of reach for this team.

For this team, but maybe not for that (2020) team.

We'll probably tie it with a possible upset of fl at home. We'll probably beat the occ teams we're supposed to. My guess is 8-4/9-3 with losses to OK, GA, and Bama, maybe fl.

In hindsight losing those 2 games at the start of the season was meaningless because as the season went along the team improved down the stretch. Up to this point, UT has 4 good conference wins. I would gladly take the 2 L’s at the start of the season if that meant we had to give back 2 conference games. History has shown that’s usually how it works out and, even though it could be better, I think that the coaching staff has all the guys playing their best football right now.

I tell yeah what. Idk why the refs hate us, but it doesn't matter how bad the mistake the other team makes, the refs gonna make sure they help our opponent. 🤷 but we'll get called on every little thing. It's the damndest thing.

3 game improvement for Pruitt. That’s a big deal. Ask anyone if they’d take that going into this year and they’d say he’ll yeah!
