James is playing, and playing a lot, not because of a “star” that was associated with his name.

He is playing a ton of minutes (right now) because he does not hurt the team, on O or D, and he contributes.

Gaines, Kent, and Johnson could probably help, and could give some needed “relief;” however each “could” hurt the team right now.

I firmly believe all of those guys, along with Pember will be playing as the season goes. They just need to learn, and grow more.

It’s early, Tennessee isn’t struggling needing players to simply have “time” on the floor. That will happen, but I think they guys will be ready. Not to mention they will get some “time” with some upcoming games (to help them become “more available.”).

It’s very impressive Turner has bought in to the roll he’s playing right now, considering his roll has mainly been scoring and defense. He’s not just getting to the basket, he’s finishing. And he’s still knocking down free throws.

If we didn’t know what he can do without a hurt shoulder shooting and scoring wise, we’d be talking about him being a better pg than Bone. Jmo
