Guz is the most under appreciated coach in America. He’s not amazing but auburn acts like he’s Dooley.

Interesting to me how bama handles tua the rest of the year. I wouldn’t play him until the iron bowl. Then if you get lucky and get in the playoff he’s played one game in like 2 months.

Makes me wonder.... if ultimately their loss to LSU doesn’t even matter. They should’ve just sat tua seeing as he wasn’t even close to 100% then you have an even better loss to LSU probably in the committees eyes bc it’s got the “well they didn’t have tua” tag on it.

I get the feeling, but it's punishing conferences for having multiple elite teams.

Besides, conference championships have their own separate, inherent value. For a century we had 5 (or however many power conferences) conference champions and only 2 played for the title. They are valued by the conference and team regardless. That doesn't mean it needs to be a prerequisite for the country finding who the best team is.

Imagine for a second if next year we beat everyone except a 1 pt loss to UGA when our starting QB was out. We beat Bama, ou, and UF handily. But UGA goes undefeated, and so wins the East over us. They win the SECCG as clear national #1.We're not a playoff team here? I can't buy putting a conference title importance over who is best.

Allows us to get healthy as well. We are banged up. We needed the time off bigly. Wish there were 2 bye weeks every year

Could go for 8. Would hate 6 because it makes for infinitely more endless debates since the playoff bye would be huge and advantages the already-best teams.

Though I don't think it's as optimal as getting to an even 4 or 8 conferences in the long run, I think your solution is the most common one most can agree on for now. But conferences will continue to shift in the future and I really hope we eventually reach 4 or 8 of them, so we can have a completely rule-based system.

Your solution also gets buyin from G5s. Right now they have no incentive for accepting the system as-is.

It was the Ed Norton one. Pre-Disney Marvel Studios, same as Iron Man. Many films and properties will probably rotate. Most of the big stuff that isn't tied elsewhere is already there.

Which is why I think if you're going to have a playoff instead of bowls, get rid of conference championship games (which gives those not in them like ND and Bama an unfair advantage and sometimes creates rematches), and have conference champions plus a few more teams that a committee thinks deserves in. Would be more fair and way more fun than the same few teams in a 4 team playoff.

Only if one underestimates the impact of injuries and dings. Two weeks to recover is never not a good thing on their health status. Drawback is if you have momentum, a break could cut into that. Rather have Toto, Bituli and hopefully Wright at least close to 80-100%.

We definitely have momentum but I don't think the team is at a place where they could keep it rolling into a night game in Columbia without a week off.

Agree with everything here. NCAA is beyond stupid.
