I really don't know why you are worried if their QB is back. Bowden is probably more dangerous at QB than Smith is. I would much prefer a pocket passer back there for Taylor to tee off on than having to contain Bowden, which requires extreme discipline by everyone on the D. For the record I expect to see both of them.

This has been Chaneys go to play call especially in the Redzone and he’s been creative about disguising it.

Jennings has been running these double moves that turn into inside verts. Caught one for TD vs SC, was open for a TD for one vs UAB. Here are the two plays diagramed:

This is the one vs SC. We had been dragging him in this four verticals plays all day so it was a great time to use this.

I really like this next design that we did vs UAB. We went 11 personnel (which i don’t think we should ever get out of). Motion the RB to show man with a small pump screen. We also stacked Pope and Jennings, they do a cross release where Jennings starts his route under pope. so they can’t press or jam at that point. Jennings does an out and up and is open but ball is just late.

So *PREDICTION TIME*

Jennings is going to score off a outside variation of this play vs Uk where he will either run a squirrel route (3 moves, If pass pro holds up, will go out, up, and out... probably over top of a short out or hook for a Hi/Low action)

The OL has improved at times but sometimes they resort back to the performances from last year and Georgia State. They did not pass protect well against UAB.

General remarks of this sort belong over here, not in Washington's thread.

I'm not open to any notions that rely on the opener because I don't think such "arguments" or negavol-ing have any bearing on the real world except to indicate BVS. We're may need a better outing from the OL to win in an absolutely huge way. We won by 30 last week (before they scored a cleanup TD against the backups) in the performance you denigrate. If you can't see that the OL is improving this year I don't know what to tell you.

It’s insanity. A clear pattern is emerging of the coaches missing on their targets and the gut reaction is to blame the kids. It makes zero sense.

There's something emerging all right. I just happen to think it's posters that only come out of the woodwork when we miss on somebody big or that we thought we had.

Read my post. I stated the line has improved. However especially when Shrout was in the UAB game the flood gates seemed to be open more times than not. Just stating the facts. Watch the game film again if you disagree.

Honestly, FSU hiring Deion isn't that different than Memphis bringing Penny in. Deion has been around the high school game with his Primetime Academy in Texas. You'd think he'd be able to recruit at a high level. so all he would need is a veteran staff to guide him through the process. I definitely think it would be a dumb hire when you consider the other possibilities, (How they aren't knocking Norvell's door down blows my mind) but I wonder if higher level coaches are afraid of the expectations to win with Clemson looming and a weak roster. I don't know how interested I would be in a school who fires a coach halfway into his 2nd season.
