Oh man, watched Pruitt’s post-practice presser from yesterday and he was as ticked off as I remember seeing him for awhile. Said he wasn’t happy with the effort at practice for the first time in a long time.

My hunch is that since around 8am yesterday, you don’t want to be anywhere in that man’s line of sight.

Lord have mercy on the Wildcats.

Went to FCA fundraising dinner last night and Coach Barnes / Chris Walker spoke. I‘ll say the same thing about him as I did with Pat, he is a better person than a coach. He, and Walker, both have their priorities in the right place.

Also, really impressed with what FCA is doing in the community. If you are looking for a place to donate your time/talents, this is a great organization.

VERY Impressed !!

We worry about every team. It is what we do. But it will be apparent after about ten minutes that we are better and we just need to play our game and win. We were worried about MSU and they had a bye before us. And they beat KY.

P in the Cheerios this AM it appears. How about a do-over, RF? Take a mulligan and re-tee that first shot because there have been some wild swings with the ball going OB.

Our Vols are going to win Saturday. CJP has been around a lot of winning culture programs and knows when the team is losing focus. He is trying to build toughness into their minds and hearts. After Saturday they are going to take a week off to get ready for the finish.

The staff is going to finish recruiting with some studs and they will continue to build more depth that is redshirted, particularly in the lines. Please remember that over half of the players in the NFL were 3* and less rated in HS. It will be OK. This program is just now learning how to win. It may take a few more years to actually win the division and compete for the SEC/BCS titles. The fans' angst of over a decade of incompetent coaching failure leading to losses will not change what has to happen and the trajectory of what CJP is doing.

Yeah this totally seems more likely. Doesn't make any sense that your starting QB for three straight games having back to back concussions would be handled with more caution or anything.

I think that both injuries were to his cervical spine. The way he landed on his head and really torqued his neck. The first thing he did was grab for his neck.
The second, the OL’s leg again twisted his neck.

Maybe there was a concussion too, but definitely a cervical spine injury as the primary injury...

"Withdraws" name.

On the Phone
Jones: I'm withdrawing my name.

Rutgers Secretary: Who is this? Is this that guy from Alabama?

Jones: This is Coach Jones. I'm formally withdrawing my name from your head football coaching search.

Rutgers Secretary: No one here called you. Stop calling this number.

Jones: OK, but I withdrew my name first!

Weird. Also Schiano making all these “demands”. Something behind the scenes up there must be really out of order.

Schiano was on OSU staff and prob realizes how far behind RU is in terms of facilities/budgets/etc.

That’s a much tougher job now than what it was when he was there before. They were in the Big East at that point.

Have you been around the program this week? If so, any comments as to the energy in the locker room? Do you think we win big on Saturday? I do.

And there it is. Butch Jones is going to ride that UT gravy train to the end of the line. Sexton will keep putting his name out there, and Butch will feign interest in jobs,; they'll make sure his "interest" is appropriately publicized, then things somehow won't "work out" and Butch will continue cashing that check.

Who all thinks Maurer starts this Saturday or will Pruitt go with his safe pick JG?
Maurer will get the start. He gives the best chance to score the most points. If he doesnt get knocked out of the game.

Play calling is to conservative with JG and teams can load the box.

which is the same exact thing 99% of the public would do.
