Most on this board couldn’t spot a good football coach if they shared an elevator.
Traces of cocaine confirmed..Cool story. My best friend from college is from the St Louis area. His grandmother was in an elevator in downtown St Louis in the 80’s. Two tall guys who looked like ball players got on the hotel elevator with her. She asked them if they played baseball and they said yes. She asked them to sign this baseball hat she had bought for her grandson. It was Dwight Gooden and Darryl Strawberry. The Mets were in town playing the Cardinals
TB saying Hardy went silent on the staff yesterday and the coaches were scrambling to get in touch with him. Pruitt is furious so it’s ok for us to be mad too.
Winning consistently with a proven HC? Will take time. Same reason Jimbo been eating our dinner. It's going to be a slower rebuild. Just keep winning on the field and the rest will come together over time!Whatever Auburn is doing we need to be doing as well. Losing a home grown big time player at a position of need because they went a step further isn't cool. Get it done.
Thanks Ron. Man I dont know if it's the Hardy commitment taking up real estate in my head but after reading this I'm getting a little worried. Go Vols!
Are we getting comfortable? Guys better understand they haven't accomplished diddly squat yet. Keep that fire and underdog mentality up. Surely last year taught them as soon as you think you are somethin, you will get your butt handed to you real fast. SRs need to take over and drag these cats through the finish line.Pruitt seemed a bit frustrated today, both in his post practice media appearance and tonight on Vol Calls. Obviously the day didn’t start off the way at least many here expected but Pruitt said we also had a bad practice today which was an outlier for this year. In the past I’ve heard him say in postgame comments after a loss that our performance in the game was a reflection of our practice that week.
He said we only have 63-64 healthy scholarship players right now and I assume some of those are guys who haven’t really played yet. On Vol Calls he said you have player led teams and coaches led teams. Most of the year so far he’s praised the leadership of our players; tonight he said when the players who are leaders step back we go back to being a coaches led team. He said we’re a coaching led team right now and we need our coaches to get their guys going.
Maybe the guys on the team were just as disappointed as the fans in the early morning news but Pruitt has that fight on mentality and he seems to be pushing both his staff and his players to pick it up and get ready for the game this Saturday. Assuming we've gained even a little bit of maturity over the past year I've got to believe we'll shake this off and come out on Saturday focused on the game at hand. jmo.
