No I don't, you jerk!

LA is one of the best posters on this board, especially if you don't consider @InVOLuntary . He's definitely not a jerk.

I spent two years across the street from the FSU campus while my wife finished her degree. I’ve played golf with coach Bowden, and been around the facilities. IMHO, I don’t think that FSU is a great gig. The facilities used to be OK for acc standards, but big time football is no longer limited to just the sec. This is a program that still DOES NOT HAVE A DEDICATED FOOTBALL FACILITY. The women’s soccer team took over one of the practice fields while we were there to make it into their new game field. The stadium is nice, but small. The Boosters run that town. Do you remember when we desperate for new leadership and mired in the throws of dysfunctional bureaucracy? That is FSU to a tee. Bobby made this program, but I predict it’s on a long road back to being an also ran. What is insane to me is how fast this all happened, and the talent on that team outside of cam Akers is minimal.

I was surprised to see 50 play this week

I think that did him in for a RS

Well Brandon Johnson was announced already to be redshirting, Gibbs is sitting out this year and redshirting, Gooden and Buchanan are both out with injuries.

I mean, I'm not bashing or anything but does 247 just repeat everything we already know?

The wild card one to me at least is CFA...I don't know why he'd want to redshirt, except to get another year towards a degree which might be smart since he's likely not got a pro football career in his future. But at RB we likely don't have anyone leaving so where does he get more on the field action?

Rutgers should seriously hire the top high school coach in New Jersey and try like hell to lock up the state. It’s their only chance at sustained success.
He’s already there. He’s currently the interim head coach. Nunzio Campanile.

I know its not much but thought it might be something to discuss other than the absurd idea FSU would hire Pruitt.

well he was 27-47 there and his last year was 3-9

I meant first time Power 5 coach, but you're correct he was at FIU for a bit.
Gotcha. Took them to two bowl games and had one bad year. Seemed dumb to fire him but now they’ve got Davis so I guess it worked out eventually for them

I mean it's pretty obvious that Johnson, Lampley, Chris A., Gibbs, Gooden, Buchanan are all getting redshirts. Bigger question is can Buchanan return to football at all?

Safe to assume Lowe, Simmons, and Sean Brown all redshirt as well...definitely think you need to RS every guy who is willing to, that's the real trick to building depth with the new hard cap 25 rule.

One bad year? He had 2 seasons over 500 and the rest (4 seasons) were losing records, granted it is FIU...but Butch Davis is there and has had 3 straight winning seasons (5-4 currently)

Clearly too soon to make a podcast joke. I think Team ChargerBass is going to have to meet Team InVoLA at the Waffle House. If you want to pick one near the state line, we might be able to rustle the Big Blue Jimmies of some Cat fans.
I’ll be there. But it will take about 6 hours. Go ahead and order me a stack with a Coke Zero

16-20 at Western Kentucky, left after 3rd season.
24-25 at USF, left after 4th season
7-5 at Oregon and bounced after 1 season.

All 3 of those jobs he left on his own and missed the bowl game for the "greener pastures"

He's not had any sustained success anywhere. 56-62 career record, and 0-1 in bowl games (since he's missed the last 3 his teams made). That's a lot of job hoping...one would argue Western Kentucky to USF was lateral and Oregon to FSU was as well.

WKU hired Petrino after Taggart and had better success
Oregon hired a first time HC and he's been more successful

Willie is the "Good Luck Chuck" of college football basically. So I'm sure FSU is about to hit the jackpot!
Yeah, no one has made more for doing less.
