Head coach success always depends on the coaches he surrounds himself with. Head coaches have to have organizational skill for success. Some coaches like Mullen has that plus he loves to call his own offensive plays.
It's all about those hires being able to develop those players within the scheme. Luckily Pruitt realized as a rookie coach that trying to coach the defense and head coach was too heavy of a load and his smarts lead him to a good hire.
Pruitt hit the target with the Chaney hire and Ansley appears to have gotten his legs under him. Sometimes the coaches have to have time to gel.
Kirby made the transition and looks like Pruitt is going to be successful as well.
Although I disagree with some of Pruitt's decisions with the QB's I think the guy is going to prove himself as a head coach. He is definitely growing into the job.
OF COURSE ME BEING A HEAD COACH FOR SO LONG GIVES ME THE RIGHT TO MAKE THESE CALLS. ;)
P.S. --arm chair coaches never lose a game. LOL

Call me weird, but I prefer playing 1 dimensional running offenses.

UAB had 1 drive over 7 plays and 1 drive over 50 yards, both happened on their last garbage time drive. Held them to 63 rushing yards and 2.5 a carry
USC we held to 78 rushing yards and 2.6 a carry
Miss State we held to 121 yards rushing and 3.3 a carry. 34 of those came on their last drive when we were playing pass and allowing them to eat clock with runs.

We've looked stronger against the run than the pass all season. UAB we seemed to take better advantage and for really the first game all season Bryce looked like himself, so I like our chances.

Some fan painting "go cats" on our rock and this being a road game against a SEC team is going to have the team ready to go. Should be even healthier too, and we got the bye week afterwards, so no reason to hold back.

I'm not putting him down. You seem to look for insults everywhere from everybody.
Maybe I'm wrong but looking at his post, I thought he was just wanting to point out the difference with our coach to note the difference in trajectory? Didn't see a call out or an insult or anything. Idk, maybe I'm missing it.

Pruitt has a worse record? They have the same record. But Pruitt plays a tougher schedule and he has two wins over ranked teams whereas Taggart's best win is BC.

There's something to it for sure.

Chandler has had 2 solid games is a row after Jordan had a good one against Bama.

Need both to continue to be productive.

If we think the qb rotation is hard to explain the Fb is harder

Chandler was the 3rd back to play this Saturday

He seems to look for insults everywhere from everybody, imo.

FSU needs to go after Brent Venables. I wanted him here before Pruitt. And KSU isn't coming open for a while with Klieman having success.

Highly unlikely he leaves Clemson imo until his kids graduate. He’ll be there awhile

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. In fact that’s very cool that she’s that invested and as a recruit that sells

16-20 at Western Kentucky, left after 3rd season.
24-25 at USF, left after 4th season
7-5 at Oregon and bounced after 1 season.

All 3 of those jobs he left on his own and missed the bowl game for the "greener pastures"

He's not had any sustained success anywhere. 56-62 career record, and 0-1 in bowl games (since he's missed the last 3 his teams made). That's a lot of job hoping...one would argue Western Kentucky to USF was lateral and Oregon to FSU was as well.

WKU hired Petrino after Taggart and had better success
Oregon hired a first time HC and he's been more successful

Willie is the "Good Luck Chuck" of college football basically. So I'm sure FSU is about to hit the jackpot!
Cristobol isn’t a first time head coach. FIU was dumb to fire him

Ok, that was pretty good as far as the "turnabout is fair play" scale.

But I just made a similar response as you earlier about "definitely a difference in direction though".

I didn't want to be misconstrued as seeing insults that aren't there.

Rutgers should seriously hire the top high school coach in New Jersey and try like hell to lock up the state. It’s their only chance at sustained success.
