He's not interested in reading anything that proves him wrong. Remember when he kept challenging for "stats".... then ducked for cover when they were provided?
He wants JG to be the starter. Bailey doesn't threaten that. Maurer does. Therefore Maurer isn't any good... and Bailey must be good.[/
It is kind of funny when he brings things up that even he obviously hasn’t looked at. He would’ve NEVER touched the evaluations if he had.
Lol. Not a chance he starts over Maurer as a true freshman if Maurer is healthy. You guys are putting way, way too much stock into Bailey. He’ll very likely redshirt next year imho.
And he should have a legitimate shot. If he's better than Maurer and the others, he should start. My guess is that he won't be, at least not at the start of the year.I said it earlier in this thread, but I doubt HB redshirts next year. You just don't see that happen very much anymore with highly touted guys. I'm sure they've told him hes going to have a legit shot to win the job and play a lot next year.
If JG stays, it will be because of things off the field, not on it, IMO. Friendships, school, et al.
If Bailey does come, which I don't think he will unless he is guarnteed to start, which I don't see Pruitt doing that. I still look for Bailey to decomit, but hope he doesn't. If he does come I think he redshirts, jg transfers, if he doesn't then maurer or shout one transfers, I hope jg transfers. So I am hoping next year it will be maurer, shrout, and hill competing.
The new transfer rules make this really, really easy to stick with a commitment like this. Most Fr still shouldn't expect or even want to start. Worst case he RS's a year, learns under Chaney and Weinke then finds a program that needs an immediate starter. If Bailey does come, which I don't think he will unless he is guarnteed to start, which I don't see Pruitt doing that. I think you are correct. I still think Maurer has skill set advantages over Shrout. However, that opinion is based on a very small sample size. Neither has really had a chance to prove themselves yet.I do love the writing off of Shrout...... I honestly don't believe we have seen the last of him. Appears we will have a plethora of options at QB this offseason, but I don't think it is cut and dry as people saying its going to be Maurer vs Bailey.
The interesting thing, there and I'm not here to debate who has said what, is that it does not seem they've confirmed a concussion. In fact, their behavior and treatment plus his apparent lack of symptoms could mean it was something else.Hate to say it, but at this point we should just be hoping that BM’s career doesn’t get cut short due to concussions. He seems prone.
Why would Bailey bail? He's coming here to play. He's the last on the list to transfer I think. Maurer has the most to lose, he'll leave the second JG or HB earn the starting spot. If JG closes out the year I believe he may go before the spring competition at QB gets started.Bailey will bail most likely once he realizes he might have a greater income potential at another school. Welcome to the new world of recruiting
LOL... Just keep pouring the Maurer hate on....Why would Bailey bail? He's coming here to play. He's the last on the list to transfer I think. I think they’re probably just keep it under wraps. The interesting thing, there and I'm not here to debate who has said what, is that it does not seem they've confirmed a concussion. In fact, their behavior and treatment plus his apparent lack of symptoms could mean it was something else.
If he had a concussion then there's a really good bet that it was one that was aggravated in the Bama game rather than two. They sent him to Vandy for a second opinion... and then held him out one game and immediately declared him available this week. He has probably endured every test possible by now. If they had found bleeding, swelling, or any other sign then I doubt they would have cleared him. Teams today if anything err to the extreme side of caution. Twenty-five years ago he probably would have returned to the MSU game.
That's really odd treatment for someone with a concussion unless it was very, very mild.
Why do you see Bailey decommitting? Especially when he has been recruiting for us, is enrolling early and his dad has publicly stated that he isn’t going anywhere. Do you really think Pruitt has told Bailey he is the guaranteed starter from day 1?
