Reaction to Trump at the WS game

Step off the crazy train. He'll leave peacefully. He'll probably be glad to get the hell out of town.

Your last sentence is definitely false. He has on numerous occasions mentioned that he would like or would deserve more time in office.

Luckily, we'll never find out.
No chance he just concedes defeat in 2020 if he loses. None. He will unquestionably tell his cult he was cheated by the deep state, and he will pressure his allies in Congress to find creative ways to challenge the legitimacy of the election.

I was on the road a lot and listened to significant commentary on XM, plus randoms calling in to the shows to say their piece.

As much as I loathe Trump, and as much as it might in a sense be poetic justice and satisfying to hear "lock him up!" chants thrown at the guy that at a minimum took delight himself in his supporters chanting "lock her up!", I am against it. And it has nothing to do with the venue or the event -- as some have relied upon to distinguish it.

Instead, what makes Trump so awful to me is that he rode the resentment of people to victory. He won because his supporters loved the fact that he needled and antagonized the people they don't like. It was never about policy with Trump (except maybe for the wall). It was the theater of him just relentlessly mocking and deriding the left that won it for him.

I don't want to win that way. Its poisonous, because it becomes a battle of just aggravation and resentment, during times when we should be voting for someone, not against someone else. That may simply have been the toxic stew of 2016, for a lot of reasons. But moving forward, the way out of this mess is earnest discussion of policy, not seeing who can pizz off the other side the most.

So, I do not support "lock him up chants" anymore than I supported "lock her up" chants.

I believe you have said this or something similar 1013 times.

Days Trump has been in office. 1013.

Coincidence?

I agree with this 100%. We will see the depths of his despicability in 2020, not 2024 (he will be a stain on American history by then).

Son, you can't provide one example of what trump has done that's bad. He hasn't cut any of your sacred cow programs, he hasnt reduced the deficit. He's tried curb illegal aliens from flooding my country but he's failing. He's followed your boy's protocol in dealing with illegal aliens. Im sorry but you being butt hurt has caused blind ignorance

Things Trump has done wrong...

1. He's reduced the respect the US has on the world stage.
2. He hasn't cut spending in a meaningful way.
3. He has made numerous decisions choosing business over environment.
4. He is spending money like a drunken sailor. (deficit)
5. He has made no meaningful attempt at reaching across the aisle. Instead, he has amplified Obama's crappy "elections have consequences" strategy.
6. He has constantly attacked the intelligence community in a public manner.
7. He has demeaned the office by his boorish behavior and constant name calling.
8. He has used tax payer money as leverage to force a foreign nation to investigate a political opponent and/or his family.
9. His tweets
10. He abandoned an ally to get slaughtered.

This is where he is truly trolling the ones that allow themselves to be trolled .

Well I guess he could drop cash on them or set up sweet deals that’s “ good for the American people “ like Clinton did . Come on you are hanging around Luther too much with that stuff .

Republicans always tell themselves this, when Trump shows clear disregard for the constitution.

And the ones that get trolled are always trying to convince others that they aren’t . We’ve been over this constitution thing , I only see one side trying to take out 2a rights and have oppressed our 1a rights .

Whenever Trump leaves office I hope several things happen:
I hope Trump plants spies that will leak info on the dem president
I hope the Rs start endless investigations
I hope they try to impeach the next dem president
I want people on the inside to make stuff up and leak it to the media
I want Trump to wire tap the dem nominee

This is funny for two reasons. First, because you’re assuming as fact that Trump will be re-elected. And second, because you think Trump has any intention of leaving after two terms.
Relax. He can't possibly be in more than 5 terms at his age, and then you can pull out the old 25th Amendment thingy out of mothballs again.

I actually never thought that he would run for a 2nd term because he had a life outside politics beforehand, unlike most of the lifetime "public servants."

I felt the same way. Being attacked for 3 years now probably convinced him to run again.
